Bought this for a one-year old grandchild. It's a simple first puzzle for a little one. It was surprisingly well made, and the wood was nicely finished and smooth for little hands. Can definitely recommend.

My favorite part about this puzzle is that the pieces have just a smidgen of wiggle room once you insert it in its proper place. This means that a young toddler just starting out with puzzles is able to maneuver the shapes into their slots that much easier.The pieces themselves seem to be well designed and sturdy. Nothing broke or chipped after a few weeks of daily play and getting thrown around by kids. The handles are chunky enough for a little hand to hold.Also, no weird wood or paint smells from this product.

I love wooden toys and this puzzle is no different. My LO loves to pick up the piece and bang, but has started attempted to match the shapes And colors now that he is getting older. People are always amazed at “how advanced” he is. I just think he’s developing on track because he’s given toys like this that stimulate his learning and problem solving as well as fine motor and eye hand coordination.

Finally, a puzzle my 13 month old can do! I just wanted a simple puzzle and this is it. I have got a pack of 3 knob puzzles that were of low quality wood that cost $20, that has about 8, or so, pieces to it. When my daughter tries to play with it, she looses interest because it is just too many pieces. This is high quality. The pieces are painted, no stickers. The knobs are nice and sturdy, and if they loosend up it would be no issue to tighten back up with a screw driver. Also the pieces sit nice and level into the spaces.The ONLY reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is, it's a little pricey and I think its a missed opportunity that the puzzle base, spaces, do not have the same color paint as the puzzle pieces do. Other than those things this is a perfect puzzle for little ones and I wish this simple type of puzzle were more widely available.

My favorite part of this toy is that it has the colors for their corresponding shapes under the shapes. For my daughter who has impaired eye sight, it really helps her see where the shapes need to go. She’s not quite developmentally there for this one (she’s developmentally delayed), but it’s a good one to practice with her and challenges her. 10/10 would buy this again. If you’re on the fence, buy it. You won’t regret it.
