Review: Big Hyundai Battery Lawnmower is Amazing - My Hayter Auto 56 stopped working about 6 weeks ago. £200 repair bill or replacement second hand Hayter at £400. Considered the Bosch (Battery) option but I have approx 1000sqm of lawn and to go for a much narrower push mower was a step too far. Came across the Hyundai and i) Didn't know they made lawnmowers and ii) Couldn't believe the spec for the price. Took a chance and wow am I impressed. Autumn grass, 6 weeks growth, very damp and the Hyundai still cut through - I did have to lift the mowing height for a few of the worse (longest/wettest) parts but all in all an amazing performance. My first cut, batteries finished before I completed all my lawns, probably got about 85% done. However the second cut one week later was much easier and I got 95% done. Suspect will get 100% done on dry summer cuts but can't confirm this. Anyway wasn't a problem too recharge the batteries and finish off a bit later or leave a smaller lawn for another time. My guess would be the Hyundai would finish any lawn(s) under 800sqm in one go. The Hyundai actually delivers a better cut than my old Hayter (albeit quite old now) , but I I won't be be going back after this experience. I found the self-propel option very useful on longer runs (Up to 30m), but on tighter areas such as around flower beds I just pushed the machinewhich is light enough to be very easy to manouver. Couple of quick tips, firstly on my model the mulcher was already installed, this took me a bit of time to figure out, but is easy to change once your aware it's there and ii) this machine is very lightweight when compared to a Hayter, so I have adapted my mowing style a little - in my case I'm carefully mowing borders rather than ignoring pretty much everything in the interest of speed as I used to with the Hayter. The Hyundai is narrower but the lighter weight did make the task much easier and I think a little quicker too. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very heavy *by J***S on 16 October 2020* This lawn mower is very heavy to use, my lawn is not a bowling green. I cut on number 4, any higher and it wouldn't be worth cutting the lawn. I'm a 74 years old fit female and I struggle to push the mower when not using the self propeller. The mower does cut well and it is good not to keep having to move cable or have to fetch petrol.
