I purchased these plugs for my mother in law who was struggling to remove normal plugs from her socket outlets. These plugs are well made and look robust enough to cope with users who cannot use standard plugs. They are easy to wire using an appliance cable which has been removed from a normal plug as the cables will be the correct length to fit this plug. However if you are replacing a moulded on appliance plug the process is a little more involved. After cutting off the moulded plug the cable needs to be opened up to expose the internal wires. Some electrical knowledge is then required to cut the wires to the correct length and strip the insulation from the ends. The appropriate wires can then be connected to the appropriate terminals, it is also vital to secure the cable into the cable clamp so it cannot be pulled out of the plug during use. An additional thing is to check is the fuse rating for your appliance as the new plug comes with a 13A fuse your appliance may only require a 3A fuse.These plugs have made life much easier for my mother in law and she is very happy with them.

I increasingly find that modern plugs are 'built to a budget' and by skimping on the plastic the manufacturers seem to have smoothed out or removed all of the best gripping points.My hands are no long young and these plugs make life so much easier.

Arrived on time and in good condition, very good quality and very good value for money, more difficult to install than the plug tugs but a sturdier and more permanent result than a flimsy bit of plastic that might break over time,very happy with this product.

Instead I received standard plugs which require wiring to the appliance.It immediately appeared sensible to attach them to replace standard plugs.Here we reach the conundrum the need for the easy to remove sockets is lack of manual dexterity. To swap the original plugs for the Easy Pulls is going to require a reasonable amount of manual dexterity or the presence of an electrician.I returned them with an apology but also serious doubts if they are suitable for their target market.Wiring up plugs is a lost skill for many and a never discovered one for the under 35s. Older people must remember that their fingers are not as adroit as they used to be.
