multi purpose - cleaner Review: The solution to invisible biting bugs!!! - I had been dealing with invisible biting bugs for the past year. We tried steam cleaning the carpets, with no results. I vacuumed every day, but it was exhausting and didn't make much of a difference. I sprinkled borax and diatomacious earth on the carpet and furniture, which did nothing but make it hard to breathe and clog up the vacuum. Two exterminator companies made various visits and took different samples but were not able to find any evidence of bugs. I concluded that the bugs had to be microscopic and found a huge discussion about this issue on the desertcart review for Kleen Free. Before using enzyme cleaners, the only thing that gave me relief was insect repellants, which are not healthy to use long term. Two dermatologists confirmed the bug bites but said they didn't seem like scabies; one just gave me a steroid cream for the bites. The bugs mostly targeted me but occasionally bit my husband as well. I wasn't getting any sleep at night from the biting, and had to hide all the scabs on my arms and legs when going out. When I first started using enzyme cleaners like Kleen Green, I sprayed the bed and couch and washed laundry with it. I felt relief in the places sprayed and could tell that the laundry was bug-free. But after an hour or so in the apartment, I would get bites again. The reason was that the bugs were everywhere and somehow still coming into the apartment. Thankfully, a job transfer allowed us to move. During the move, we got rid of all of our clothing, furniture, and most of our belongings. The few things we saved, I washed/cleaned with enzyme cleaner. It was a costly and time-consuming move, but I had to make sure it was all gone. The biting stopped for a couple of months. Then during the holidays, we visited my aunt. Unfortunately I had previously stayed with her during our infestation, and the bugs seemed to have infested her place too (although she denies any of her family getting bit). While we were there, they bit me and hitched a ride back to our new place through our clothes/luggage. Then they began to spread in our new apartment. The bites seem to happen in certain areas - while using the computer, on the couch, on the floor of the baby room, around the coffee table, and in our bed. Previously at our other place, we weren't very diligent about our bug cleaning regimen. This time, I put bug-proof covers on the mattress, box spring, and pillows to prevent the bugs from hiding inside. Whenever I felt biting, I would immediately remove my clothes and put them in the washer (to be later washed in the enzyme cleaner). If I was bit in a particular area on the carpet, I would soak the area with the enzyme solution using my Bissell Little Green carpet cleaner, which had a spray function that allowed continuous spraying. If I was bit while in bed, I would immediately remove any bedding for washing with the enzyme cleaner and then use my Bissel Little Green Machine to spray the mattress and pillows with the enzyme cleaner (without removing the bug-proof covers). A place where I often was bit was sitting at the computer, so I would often spray the computer desk/chair/keyboard/mouse. When the infestation was bad, I sprayed my whole body once a day and did immediate spot spraying wherever I got bit (soaking the area on my clothing down to the skin). I sprayed down cars (seats, carpet, mats, seat belts, etc), since I were getting bites there too. I also made sure my family sprayed bug spray before we went to visit my aunt. For the first 3 months, I was using up about two of the 128 oz concentrate bottles each month. The biting slowly decreased, and I went down to one bottle a month. After 6 months, I only needed one or two spot sprays on my clothing/skin per day. One great thing about Kleen Green is that it comes with a helpful pamphlet with instructions on how to get rid of different bug problems (scabies, pubic lice, fleas, mites, bed bugs, fleas, and how to use for pets). It will tell you the amount of cleaner to use, how often to use it, and the methods of application. This pamphlet was very helpful! Currently there are three enzyme cleaners available: Kleen Green, Kleen Free, and Nature's Eradicator. I've used all three, and they all work to get rid of bugs. There are three reasons I prefer Kleen Green over the other two. Kleen Green is a lot less soapy, which is GREAT if you're applying it on your skin. Also, Kleen Green doesn't have much of a smell (the other two smell like vinegar). Lastly, it comes with a free spray bottle. However, I tend to buy whichever one is cheapest at the time. The free sprayer bottles are hit or miss. I've had some that didn't consistently spray the last 1/3 of the bottle, and some that were really good. When it is good, the adjustable spray creates a fine mist and sprays with less effort than a regular spray bottle. It is also bigger than the spray bottle I got at Walmart and has ounce measurements on the side for good reference. One caution about the bottle is that it has some sharp points on the bottom part of the sprayer that will poke holes on your thumb unless you hold the bottle with both hands. But if you're buying as many bottles as I was, you'll sure to get a few good bottles in there. If you have an infestation, I highly recommend the Bissell Little Green Machine, which I put the cleaner in instead of the regular solution. It allows me to spray continuously (and saving my trigger finger) - especially great for really soaking the carpet so that they little buggers have nowhere to hide! If you have an invisible biting bug problem, you definitely need to get this. And you do really need to get the largest size. Yes, it is expensive but you also don't want to skimp out, especially in the washing machine, which probably requires about 3-4 oz for each load (make sure to dissolve the solution in the water *before* adding duvets or thick items). You need to hit it hard when it starts so that it doesn't spread until it's everywhere. And I would also suggest that you don't take any luggage and go sleep over at anyone's house until you get this problem under control. I have heard of a lot of other products people are using for these types of bug problems like dehumidifiers and essential oils, but I have found that consistent and immediate use of Kleen Green was enough to solve our problem. I honestly feel that getting rid of all our stuff in the past was unnecessary. I believe that we could have overcome the infestation if we had just gotten zippered bug-proof bedding covers, replaced our microfiber sofa with leather, and committed to using Kleen Green diligently for a few months. And no, I don't work for this company :-) Review: I LOVE IT, BUT ONE MUST KNOW HOW TO USE IT & WHAT TO EXPECT. - STOPPED THE BITES FROM SOMETHING WE COULD NOT SEE We had a brush with something brought into our home from the yard or rescue animals. It appeared to be a persistent and growing issue. Before finding this product, we tried many things that did not work. With use over a little time, this worked and did not leave behind a chemical or perfume smell. It is not a poison, therefore, leaves behind no toxic residue. The downside to a non-poison solution was that we had to keep using it for a while to get rid of whatever might be hatching out. For us, it was important that we had something we could spray all over the house without concern for possible toxins to small animals or damage to our home. Humans and pets can bathe in it (though you should check with your vet/doctor). Also, all animals and humans in a household must be treated at the same time, e.g., if there are fleas or mites, see a vet and get the animals on a product such Revolution or similar product while using this to take care of the home, humans, etc. As things began to improve, we found it prudent to taper back use, gradually spreading out the use of it as opposed to just quitting all at once. I believe this helped us cover anything that might have hatched after initial treatments. Though I would not expect this to be called an air freshener, I found that after I'd sprayed a room (maybe 15-20 minutes later), the room smelled fresh--no scent left behind--just fresh. It is not cheap, however, if you compare to some competitors, be sure to consider the dilution ratios of each. You may find this is not much more expensive--if at all. As a cleaning product, it did a great job cleaning my makeup brushes. I used it in the laundry as well. As an enzymatic deodorizer, I found it necessary to repeat the application more than once, but have found that to be the case with other similar products. We keep it on hand and use it any time we even suspect a problem--to prevent it from starting or expanding. I sprayed it all over the house and pre-treated laundry too with absolutely no harm to humans or small animals and no damage to anything in the house. I have no relationship with the company and get nothing in return for this review. It was in the course of a lot of research that someone mentioned this product in a review elsewhere (saying it was the solution that worked) and I decided to try it. Wish I'd found it sooner, but am so glad someone took the time to pass on their experience. I am passing this on because I hope the information here might help someone. TIPS NOT COVERED ABOVE PRESSURE SPRAYER. We bought a new handheld, pressure sprayer (not previously used with any product) and mixed in that and used it to spray the house because of the finer mist it produces and it was easier on the hands. TEST LIGHT FABRICS. Test an inconspicuous area on light-color or fragile fabrics before using it. I used it as a stain remover on some white denim shorts. I had to reapply, but it did work! It left behind a faint, light tan water stain, which came out in the wash. No damage was sustained, but if you have a fragile or light-colored fabric that cannot be washed, the color of the product could leave behind a water mark. FILL TUB WITH WATER FIRST. We found that for a bath, it was best to fill the tub and THEN add the product. Otherwise, it makes too many soap bubbles and puts it in the air.

This stuff is expensive but amazing and safe for people and pets I am so excited to share this.
Fabulous no smell helps with my cleaning house with 5 cats. The cat smell is gone. Safe for my pets. Helped me get rid of ear mites infestation. I even spray the cat box walls every time I clean the litter box and by the next morning the plastic is clean. That’s amazing. My husband is always itching his head. I have changed his shampoo many times and I could not see any thing on his scalp. So every night I spray his scalp with the Kleen Green and I washed all his hats in it and his bedding. No more scratching. I battled with my indoor cats getting ear mites. I took one to the vet for a whopping $170 for a mite topical treatment and ear cleaning and some medicine for his infected ear. I could not afford to take all the rest in at that price and the vet would not sell me any product to help them so so I tried the Kleen Green as a cat shampoo mixed with Baby shampoo after putting Coconut oil on their eyes to protect them. I gently swished the ears with the product and rinsed them dried them with Kleenex I put in some coconut oil to kill the mites. For a week every day I dapped a little Kleen Green in the entrance of the ears and after a week no more mites and shaking their heads. Poor things so glad this product works. I found it on line after searching for a natural cure.

Mite Infestation Relief
I had a mite infestation that couldn't be identified or solved by pest control companies. After months of searching (and being called crazy understandably!), I stumbled upon this product. Kleen Green was great to bathe in and even wash my hair. I submerged in a tub for relief. I sprayed it on throughout the day. This product and another, Chlorhexidine, which I had used for my dog who had mites and lost most of his hair, worked and are solving my problem ....I tried Chlorhexidine on my unfinished hard wood floors (yes, it dries-out the floor) and it somehow keeps the mites from being active. I apply Chlorhexidine daily on the floor and will do so until the mites are completely gone. This and Kleen Green Naturally Enzymes cleaner on my body have saved my quality of life and returned my home to a stable place. I understand hospitals use both or either Kleen Green and Chlorhexidine on their floors for micro-pest infestations? Try them! There is no downside!

Trying to help anybody who needs it.
Scabies is actually a different situation from mites. The mites that I have are white and very very tiny, and they unfortunately came along with the new carpet my parents bought for the house (I wish they would buy wood or vinyl flooring!). I have done hours of online research for this because--I know this sounds dramatic--but this situation makes a person suicidal, and I have read many stories online of people expressing the same distressing feelings and confusion. I have also found through online stories and MY OWN that this problem usually effects one person in the house, especially if that one sufferer sleeps alone, since these mites love pillows and bedding. I am the only one in my house that is "infected". Whenever I walk barefoot on the carpet I can feel the "spinning, vibrating sensation" that occurs when they come onto your skin and burrow underneath the first layer of your skin, but everybody else in my house is fine and thinks I am a lunatic for always wearing slippers. I have concluded from my endless reseach that the products that seem to be successful in clearing people's belongings and body are: tea tree oil, clove oil, and neem oil, mixed with either macadamia oil or coconut oil; Kleen Green; hydrogen peroxide; borox; apple cider vinegar; baking soda; blue listerine mouth wash; and blue dawn dish liquid. I have had the BEST results for my body with blue dawn dish liquid by putting 10 drops of it in my warm/hot bath water, and laying my entire body--excluding face--in the water for twenty minutes. This I did for five days once a day and it extracted the mites from only my body. I have had the BEST results for my mouth by using 1 part water and 1 part blue listerine as a mouthwash for 30 seconds twice a day. I wish I could tell all the sufferers to use dawn dish liquid and listerine!! Some people say to use listerine for you scalp, but I have yet to try that. A human's scalp and face have different densities so I'm still working on these two parts of my body. For my face I am going to begin using a few drops of either tea tree oil or neem oil mixed with coconut oil every night to see if that helps. I find the most difficult area to be my scalp. I cut my hair short so its easy to wash frequently, and for the past two weeks I have mixed three drops of neem oil in maybe 1 tablespoon of shampoo and left it in my scalp for 10 minutes while I wash my body, then rinse out my hair. This has not gotten rid of the mites, but this is my fault, not the neem oil. 10 minutes is not enough so I am going to begin to mix neem oil with any other oil that is safe for hair--maybe I'll try johnson's baby oil--and leave it in my hair for the entire day and night, then wash out the next morning and repeat the process for 3-4 weeks. I am confident that this product and process will get rid of all of them. IMPORTANT: I want all sufferers to know that no product is magical; you have to be consistent with the processes and keep at it for 3-4 weeks, otherwise the mite eggs will hatch and their life cycle will continue, and you'll have to begin all over again. Also, I have been sleeping on a faux leather couch--but an air mattress works too--because you dont want to reinfect yourself with your pillows and bedsheets. Also, dont air dry your laundry, the heat in the dryer kills them, but it doesn't fix pillows because the mites are buried deep in the middle of the pillow. I really hope this helps people from this horrid nightmare. Just know that you are not alone and you will get your life back! Comment on this if you have any questions and I'll answer. :)

Kleen Green works better than any prescription
I'm not sure how I got scabies, because I’m single and didn't have any of the usual contacts or cleanliness issues. I had something (Scabies?) that lasted for 18 months. I went to the doctor 5 times. I didn’t get much information from them. The tube of cream (Permethrin) they prescribed was way too small to cover my entire body and they didn’t tell me about having to reapply it after 10 days until my 2nd visit. I tried to tell them at my size I needed more cream. I didn’t get it until the 3rd visit. The 4th visit they gave me pills (Ivermectin), but no cream. Again, it didn’t kill all the scabies. I went back a 5th time, by now really upset that I’m still dealing with these bugs and by now spent a small fortune on doctor bills. And the doctors would make you wait for 4 to 6 weeks before they would prescribe something. They kept saying it takes a while for the itching to stop. April 25th, I found out about Kleen Green Naturally and ordered it thru Amazon. It arrived on April 28th and I used it to bathe in that night. I rewashed and cleaned everything. I would strip my bed every day and wash it and I would take off my clothes as soon as I got in the door and wash it. Today is July 15th and I have been scabies free for 3 weeks. It was a learning and trial and error process, but here is what I would recommend: Don’t bother with the Permethrin or the Ivermectin. They are both toxic and didn’t do a thing for me. Kleen Green Naturally comes with a little booklet to explain how to use it and it works great. Besides washing and cleaning everything with Kleen Green and using it to bathe I would add making up a large spray bottle of 2oz of Kleen Green and 14oz tap Water. After I showered and dried off I would spray myself with the Kleen Green solution including my hair, and let it air dry. The sprayer works much better on getting the product all over your back and into hard to reach places. I would repeat spraying myself and letting it air dry 3 x a day if possible. These bugs love the folds of your body, on and under your breast, your back and the backs of your arms. I am full of scars where they dug in and I pulled them out with a tweezer. If you feel like something just bite you that’s them. They crawl into your poor’s and then latch on and lay their eggs. They don’t jump and so they don’t move very far. Ladies, these bugs love hiding in our bras and just washing and drying won’t get rid of them. I would take all the bras I wore that week and soak them overnight in a Kleen Green solution of 8oz Kleen Green and 2 Gallons of water. Using the sprayer 3x a /day is what finally turned the tide for me.

Kleen Green saved my Sanity
This product is excellent for killing body lice, head lice, fleas. I had an infesattion in my apartment of all 3 of these pests. I carried a spray bottle of the solution with me where ever I went. This gave me releif if something was biting me or if I just felt itchy. I used pesticide also on the carpet, but still sprayed them everday with kleen green. I spray before I vacuum because they tend to start jumping and biting while I'm vacuuming. Spraying before I vacuum prevents this and then I spray again after vacuuming. Vacuuming often gets rid of a lot of the eggs. I made a vat of the solution to soak clothes in overnight and sometimes for 2 days. While Kleen Green kills the live parasites, it does not kill the eggs which can remain dormant for a long time. And because the dryers in my building do not get hot enough, I still found that I would have newly hatched incects in my clothes and so I threw them all away. I buy packages of T shirts and underpants and wear new ones every day and I go clearance sections of online and land stores. I do next day shipping from online stores if necessary. I also use LiceLogic head lice shampoo. Very effective and nontoxic to people. I threw out my mattresses and couch which were brand new, but quickly became infested because the pestss were in the carpet. My car was infested and was a continual source of reinfestment for me, so I stopped driving it and finally sold it to someone who buys cars, but I told them about the problem. I didn't get much for it, but the thought of driving it gave me nightmares.I now sleep on an air mattress on top of a table that they cant nest in. They will reproduce in anything made of cloth or paper so I eliminated any thing that was infested and covered in clear plastic bags anything that could become infested. They try to nest in the flocking on the air bed so I spray the surface of the bed everyday and cover it with plastic sheets before going to bed.I hope this helps.
