Absolutely recommend, great pool
I love this pool SO much. It is perfect for our backyard and my family of 4. We moved to Las Vegas and knew we were going to need something. I searched EVERYTHING and finally decided on this. I did originally want the bigger size (it was sold out) but I’m glad I got this one because it’s bigger than I imagined and is the perfect size. Fits all of us with plenty of room for my 2 kids to play around. A few things to note: When setting up, make sure ground is clean and free from debris. While thick, it can puncture. Lay down a tarp to protect the bottom. I recommend using TWO adults to set it up. You COULD handle it alone but my husband and I were able to get it ready and up within 30 mins (minus water full which took a couple hours) and it would have taken much longer alone. ***Once the bottom is laid out and you’re ready for water, have 1 person INSIDE the pool and one OUTSIDE to iron out the kinks and wrinkles. If the kink isn’t ironed out before it’s filled, there is no way in h*ll you’ll fix it. Stuff like that drives me crazy because you can feel it all along the bottom and if big enough it will throw off the shape of the pool. I wanted the bottom completely smooth so I pushed out the wrinkles and my husband pulled it right from the outside WHILE it started to fill with water. Without water you will smooth out one spot on to make a kink on the other side etc etc. The weight of the water filling the pool holds it nice and tight so when you fix one spot, it’s fixed for good and doesn’t create another. Took us about 10 mins and we just worked around in a circle pulling tight and ironing them out. It was PERFECTLY flat and smooth once filled. Set up was a breeze and instructions were clear and easy to ready. Everything came packaged perfectly with no problems. Instructions were available in English and Spanish. -Get a tarp for underneath to protect it from heat, rocks etc ($9) -Get a cover, especially if you have younger kids. It also helps keep bugs/yard debris out ($10) -Get a little chlorine tablet/dispenser to throw in after use ($25) -We decided the filter/pump was more of a hassle so we don’t use it. It came with plugs in case you forgo the pump which was great. We bought a net ($5) and with the chlorine tablets we haven’t had any problem with keeping it clean. We do drain and refill it every 3 weeks or so. We do this to also reposition it as well. -Ours is HALF in the sun and HALF under the balcony. The sun has cause the putter blown up blue ring to expand (because science duh). We noticed the shaded part didn’t expand. Every few weeks when we drain and clean it we just rotate it 180• This just helped to expand the other half of the ring so it was even. It wasn’t popped, it was damaged, just slowly expanded and got bigger over time, almost double the size. We just filled it with more air and have noticed zero problems because of it. I absolutely recommend this pool. The price (even with the add ons) cannot be beat and so far it is great quality. For whatever reason, when it comes time to purchase another we will rebuy the exact same one, maybe just bigger!

I live in Arizona and I love this pool!
I didn't want to buy anything too big and difficult to set up, but I didn't want to buy one of those smaller inflatable's either. I wanted something sturdy, durable, that would last me at least a season or two (maybe longer). I do have a slight grade in my yard (for drainage during monsoons) and was worried about an above ground pool that works on inflation principle would not work. This size is PERFECT. I found the most flat level area of my yard, and it is still probably 1/4 - 1/2" difference from one side to the other, but this pool is handling it just fine. I think if I'd bought the larger sizes (I have the 8 ft/30in.); I don't think they would work but only because of the increased area size and the grade in my yard. I live in Arizona and above ground pools in local stores were SOLD OUT about 2 weeks before I started looking. I was very lucky to find this one online. It arrived on 5/8/2020 and I've been enjoying the heck out of it for three weeks. It is now 5/28/20 and currently 104 degrees F outside at 4:45 PM - so needless to say, this pool is a dream to have. It's not big enough for REAL SWIMMING, but it's definitely deep enough to sit in water levels comes above my shoulders. Mostly, I've been using it to suntan. I bought a spring float and sit out there for hours. It works awesome for this. The spring float allows me to be partially in and partially out of water, and I haven't overheated yet - even being out there from Noon on. I didn't buy the optional pump at first because I thought it would be fine just let the water out and refill once in a while. After the first week though, I decided that I LOVED this pool so much, I would spend the extra $50. I love the pool, the pump, and basically everything about all of it. I ordered it from VM Express and was very pleased with the shipping and service. I recommend this pool if you are looking for something super easy to set up, and just chill in to beat the heat. The great thing about this pool is that unlike other inflatable smaller size pools - this one gives you the option to connect a pump and chlorinate it without having to drain/refill. I recommend highly!!! :)

Good pool for the money.
This is my second of these pools. Perfect for my kids. My only complaint is the second pool came with a hole on the side. I tried to patch it, but it's still leaking. It's a slow leak so it is what is it is. I tried to contact the seller and the email they have doesn't work so I'm disappointed that I can't get in contact with them. I would purchase again but not from that seller considering how frustrating I am that the brand new pool has a leak and I haven't had it for a week. Its a good pool for what you pay for.

Awesome!
Since people were so nice to answer my questions when I was considering buying I thought I would write of my experiences with the 8 ft pool. I only had it up for 12 days, for my 6 yr old grandson's 7 day visit. It was the best thing I could have gotten to entertain him! * I installed it on my brick patio with a carpet remnant under it ( the carpet was very necessary). * It was extremely easy to set up. I recommend the Intex electric pump, if used carefully ( so as not to overinflate) it took about a minute to blow up the ring. Add water...instant pool! *It is very important for the site to be level, as stated in the instructions. My patio turned out to be about 1 inch lower on one side and that lower side was touchy and would cause a 'waterfall' if the inflated ring was leaned on at all. It wasn't a huge problem since my pool was only temporary, and I was with my Grandson every minute, it but could be dangerous if the pool was in use all summer, or if the water level dropped a few inches, or if you lacked vigilance with kids. Any more than an inch out of level would NOT be good at all, I would imagine it would be easy to collapse the whole thing then. * I did not use a filter and the one inch chlorine tabs in the floaty thing kept the water clean and testing within the advised levels. I used one or two tabs depending on the day(how hot,how long we were in it) ...I tested in the morning and adjusted up or down, or added water if it tested strong. * I used the Inex cover for three days while I picked up my grandson and the chlorine level stayed good with an extra tab in the floaty thing. (I had been very worried about what the water would look like when I got back!) * My site got direct sun about 7 hours and with average 80-85 degree days it took several hours each day to heat up to about 80 degrees. The water didn't retain heat overnight, which surprised me. * By the end of the 12 days, with 7 days of swimming in it, the water was beginning to get a bit cloudy( although it tested fine) , so I would definitely recommend getting and using a filter if it was to be used all summer. *A big net on a pole to remove bugs and leaves is really necessary. I used a smaller one, like an aquarium net, to sweep up debris while I hung around in the water while my grandson played. Lots little bugs around! * When the child-sized float/raft got punctured we bought a tougher one...which turned out to be way too big ( It was an Intex sting ray) .,....causing a danger of a child tipping out over the top of the pool...just something to consider when choosing a raft (it never occurred to me that a bigger float might be dangerous.) Taking the pool down was pretty easy, but I never got it to fold up very well. ( But I'm an old lady and not very strong!) I finally stored the pool and all it's 'stuff' in a 30 gallon plastic tote, ready to use again. All in all it was really a fun week in the pool. :) It was big enough for a 6 year old to play and 'swim' in and yet safe enough that I could breathe easy, although I was never more than 2 feet away from him. No question that my grandson loved it. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!

Don't do what I did. Believe the negative reviews.
If you are like me, you'll read this and dismiss it because the pool looks so relaxing and easy and it has good reviews too. You'll get it and spend much longer than you intended setting it up. The ground you thought was level may not be as level as you thought. Gotta fix that. When it is all set up after several hours, you'll feel excited and self congratulatory. It's deeper than you thought and looks so inviting. Water fresh from the hose is freezing cold though, so it is a good idea to wait a day or so for the sun to warm it up. Life happens and 48 hours go buy. At this point the pool has less than half the amount of water in it than it started with. It is all droopy and folded in on itself. There is a patch kit, but no hole can be located. It is a slow enough leak that it is impossible to find, but fast enough that the pool will not remain full enough to be enjoyed. You realize this thing is going to be a huge hassle all summer long and never as warm as you want because you have to keep putting freezing cold hose water in it to keep it filled. Maybe you will leave a negative review that you are sure no one will listen to because they will see the reviews of the lucky people that didn't get faulty merchandise and convince themselves that they too will get a good one. The hassle isn't worth the risk. Now I'm left in a quandary. Do I drag it to the curb as trash or go through the trouble of boxing it back up after fully draining it and send it back in for a refund? I'm taking my refund and replacing this waste of time and money with another pool choice that hopefully functions better.

#1 Rule: The Ground Must Be Level!
This is for the 8ft Easy Set pool. I set this pool up with a tarp under it on a very level piece of ground, or so I thought. If I showed you this area of my yard, which was professionally leveled by a landscaper years ago, you would likely say "yes, that's a level piece of ground". My family and friends agreed that it was level. I found it difficult to really see if the pool was even somewhat level when following the directions to put a small amount of water and see which way it tilts. It seemed fine, and the ground was pretty flat and level so I continued to fill up the pool. Only after it was full could I tell that, well, I guess the flat ground isn't quite flat enough. The pool was definitely leaning in one direction. Then the question becomes twofold: 1) this is the flattest place in my yard, it looks very flat to the naked eye, everyone agreed this is the spot I had to put the pool. So how so I make the ground flatter? 2) How can I do anything with level of the ground under the pool when it is full with 639 gallons of water? The answer is you can't really do anything, unless you want to drain the majority of the water out and then go to work either grading down the high side and/or using something to prop up the low side. So we started using the pool even though it was leaning. After a few days, I noticed that the inflated ring was deflating a bit, so I added more air. I hadn't added air since, and that's probably a week and a half or even 2 weeks. I'd done many feel checks to see if it needed air, but it seemed ok. Today I didn't check it at all. My 12yo got in the pool and was doing normal stuff, and suddenly at some point it had enough: between the lean of the pool and the slightly or more than slightly deflated upper ring, water spilled over the side and kept spilling all over this area of the yard until the pool was about 1/4 full. Incidentally, I treat the water with chlorine and other chems to keep it clean, clear and balanced. I don't have a pump (just a skimmer). I hope my tomato plants don't die from the chems because they got a large dose of pool water. So I took this opportunity to level the pool. We have a large thick rubber mat that fits together like puzzle pieces in the basement (got it at Lowe's years ago), so I repurposed them, stacking them 2 or 3 high to shore up the side that was low. On the side that was high, I basically removed the top layer (grass and a little soil) to lower it a little. I figured this is no big deal as the grass in this section of the yard was never great looking anyway, and it's dying/dead from the pool being on top of it anyway. End result: it now looks a lot more like the picture on the box. It STILL isn't perfectly level, you can still see a small lean, but it's maybe 5% of what it used to be. SUMMARY: - I would recommend putting a tarp under this pool (extra $$$) - I would recommend being prepared to have to further level whatever you think is already level ground, including but not limited to getting out garden equipment to remove grass/soil as needed. This thing seems to be very sensitive, so even if placing it on concrete or asphalt, be prepared to use something to support one side if you notice lean. Unless you have something handy, this may cost extra $$$ - it's very hard to tell if the pool is level until it is filled. You may need to drain quite a bit of water to fix it. This also costs extra $$$. - this is not a kiddie pool. If you intend to keep this pool up all season and/or months and months, you will notice the water getting cloudy from human body oils and sunscreen. This is in addition to leaves, debris and dirt getting in the water. You will quickly realize that you need to buy: a strainer, chlorine of some sort (either a floating dispenser or granules straight into the water), pool shock granules, and pool strips that you can dunk in the water to tell if the chlorine and other chems are at proper levels. Guess what? This is all extra $$$ - You will want to invest in the Intex cover for your size pool to keep out the debris when not in use. More $$$. Knowing all this I still bought the pool for summer 2020 because my 12yo will likely not go to camp due to Covid-19 and will be stuck around the house most of the summer. This is the most pool I could afford and/or have space for, so I went for it. Keep in mind the extra money this will cost. I probably spent an extra $100 dollars in order to properly operate this pool for the summer, plus the cost of water (not cheap in my area). The pool does seem to be durable and well made, outside of it needed perfectly level ground to look like the picture on the box, and VERY but not perfectly level ground to operate properly. So keep in mind that depending on the price at which you acquire this pool (as far as I can tell, pre-Covid19 this pool sold for around 50 dollars and due to shortages in supply the price has skyrocketed for summer 2020 into the 200 or 300 dollar range), you will need to shell out a bunch of additional cash to make it a worthwhile product for the entire summer and summers to come.

Leaks! Uninteresting to cats.
Love this little pool! It's the perfect size to stretch out in and float. Use the inflatable ring as a pillow and put float tubes under you legs. Amazingly relaxing! And yes, like many others have stated, the pool leaks and you know what, it doesn't matter at all--unless you're planning to place it in your carpeted bedroom (which would actually be kind of cool), or put it on the living room over your hardwood floor. I've had it a month and I notice little leaks in the form of wetness and an occasional runnel coming from the bottom corners. I'm probably leaking a half cup a day. No biggie. Perspective here--It's a $40 bag of water--and worth every penny on a summer's evening. Tips: Take your time forming your pool as you're filling it; get all the wrinkles out of the floor and push the walls out (takes about 10 minutes). Buy some test strips, add chlorine and other chems as needed (not often). Use the inexpensive Intex cover; It helps keep the pool clean and works to warm the water. Importantly, get two pools. One for the kids (think cloudy water and floating bandaids), and one for the adults. Finally, I almost didn't buy this pool because I had nightmares where my two cats repurposed the pool as a scratching post, or worse, they'd jump in and forget how to swim. Neither happened. They avoid it completely (helps to splash about a little when you first set up the tub so they associate it with water). Happy floating! Update: four years after purchasing the pool it is still in good shape! Surprisingly little change in physical appearance. Still with a tiny leak somewhere on the bottom that seems to self plug after a few weeks. Biggest change is the price which doubled in 4 years. Still, if this one failed I’d get another. Second update: So now, year 5, I've replaced the first pool. Thought I’d get one more year out of the 1st. Alas, I might have been too overzealous straightening out the bottom on setup and ripped a seam. Was not too put out because the first was less than $45, NOW they at $65. That's not inflation. That's gouging. But what are you going to do, you need a pool right?

Affordable pool that is well made
The pool looks exactly like the picture when filled up. It was very easy to fill up and took 2-3 hours with our garden hose to complete the job. There are multiple spots around the pool to drain it which is helpful. Our children and even us as parents all enjoy using it. We found that we needed a few extra things to enjoy the pool and keep it clean. We bought a tarp to go under the pool, a pool cover, mini chlorine tabs and a small chlorine floater to put the chlorine in. We found that if we didn't use chlorine that a slippery algae would form on the bottom of the pool after a few days. The cover really helps keep debris out of the pool and the tarp helps prevent an sharp rocks/objects from affecting the bottom of the pool and helps with storage of the pool after we are done using it for the summer. We are also considering some sort of water pump for emptying the pool as it the force of the water coming out of the drainage hole could flood/damage the area of the grass it hits. Overall we have really enjoyed the pool and have experienced no issues with it.

8 ft pool small enough to fit in a sunny spot in my backyard downtown Montreal, it's wonderful
I did not have very high hopes for an inflatable PVC pool but it was easy to set up, is decent quality for the price, my landlord and roommates are very pleased, nice way to cool down on a hot summer day, this pool is fantastic. Purchased the 1000 GPH filter to go with this and am using salt instead of chlorine, no chlorine generator necessary if you have experience with salt water aquariums, basically the same thing. A regular filter and some non-iodized salt is good enough for an 8ft pool. I have seasonal allergies and the salt water is helping clear up my skin, which is an unexpected bonus. Will update my review if there are any problems in the future.
