AUSTRALIAN RAW ORGANIC CAROB POWDER

Amazing flavor. I've been buying this specific raw carob brand ("The Australian Carob Co.") for years and it the best of the many I have tried. We are long time healthy California residents and food and product safety matters to us to match our healthy lifestyle. So we take Prop 65 seriously along with other research, testing and validation. I wrote The Australian Carob Co. and asked them for their Certificate Of Analysis for heavy metal laboratory testing and they gladly provided it and it was stellar. They should post it here with the product. I highly recommend this Carob for its flavor and quality! Lastly, I want to point out that the few negative reviews here are cost related. Well folks you aren't going to get high quality, organic food at low cost. You can pay now or pay later and no amount of money will buy back your health.

This is the best carob i have ever tasted. It (to me) gave off a smooth caramel taste to a cake mix recipe I have made from scratch. I have already ordered more. This will be the only carob I will buy from now on. It is light in color, but when baked like in my cake it turns a nice brown. I love this carob!!!!!! So glad I found this.

Per my research, I believe this is the most pure quality carob accessible, so giving it 5 stars. It is very light is color, which is opposite from the lower quality carob I previously bought which was light brown, not sure why the discrepancy in color though. Now, after tasting this I can see why carob didn’t take over cacao market even though it’s a bit healthier. It just doesn’t really have much taste. Even worst, it is NOT water soluble. I mixed it with water as I normally do with cacao, and it just created a grainy weirdly tasting water. The only use I found is to use 2 tablespoons of carob, teaspoon of vanilla, lots of honey, some heavy cream and hot water to create a nice hot beverage which tastes good but I bought carob because it’s healthy so adding all that ruins the purpose. I will not be a repeat customer for sure, especially that this is extremely expensive and comes in a very small package, so there is really no value; but if I happen to ever “need” carob again I’d use this brand.

Packaged and distributed from CHINA. What they show you in the listing photos it’s not what you receive as you can see from my photo. On the package I received it says distributed from China. I’m definitely not comfortable with this and it’s going straight to the trashcan. It’s MISLEADING, I was under the impression that this carob powder came straight from the Australian carob company but much to my surprise it came from Hong Kong. And the Hong Kong part was covered with a sticker with an expiration date that I could not even read so I don’t even know when it expires. BEWARE

I am on the 'acid watcher diet' and this seems to be the only Raw/Organic and non roasted Carob powder I could find. I don't really want roasted because I don't want the high heat (not sure but I think high heat is typically a bad thing for any food). so I chose it raw. Beautiful packaging and seems like the company cares about quality. Yes, it's a bit on pricier said but as they say - you get what you pay for. I literally have never ate Carob powder like this. Today was my first try. It does not have a strong odor; it's pretty light. I'm not sure why but I do trust this company - them seem very dedicated to quality on their site - also it's labelled organic; so that good. I used it in a smoothie with lots of other things - it did not overpower the smoothie. I would like to get the cost down to $12/lb vs $18 but again, seems like no one else has an organic raw carob that I can find. Hope this helps.

As a food intolerance poster kid, I rely on carob heavily. This was my first time tasting the truly raw stuff and I am hooked. Anyone expecting chocolate will likely be disappointed- for me they are distinctly separate entities. But if you’ve developed a carob appreciation you’ll likely love this stuff. I do enjoy the depth of roasted carob and will still indulge but now I can add this to my limited food choices - has a sweet and lovely taste.

This is the first time I ordered Carob powder and it did not disappoint! I love it's taste. It's subtle, not bitter and does not have after taste.
