Will the settings change while handling it since they’re on the outside handle?

Hi Thank you for your question. The Revlon Smooth Brilliance Flat Iron is designed with adjustable heat settings. In order to adjust the heat setting to the desired temperature the +/- button located on the side of the handle must be used. Thank you.

Does this hair straightener shut off automatically even while you are straightening your hair? If so does it still straighten the hair efficiently ?

I have never had it shut off while I was straightening my hair. It heats up within about 30 seconds. I usually use it very soon after it is ready. I am very pleased with my purchase. I always unplug when I am done.
