Great for roadtrips
I installed this folding "desk" for a long roadtrip. It worked great for holding a laptop/tablet as well as meals. I did not have the same issues as other reviewers - The table did not rattle and the surface (similar to the casing on a PC) kept everything in place. My son was able to watch movies without having to hold his tablet. And the table worked great for meal time! No more trying to balance food on his lap (or lap desk). I would highly recommend!

AFFORDABLE PRICE
Pros: Its a great option to transfer from car to car and it is universal. Looks good also. Stable. Cons: The material is very smooth causing things to slide when driving. The cup holder is not for a big cup. It would help a lot if it was adjustable.

Pros and cons
I needed 3 if these for my kids hoping we could use them in our passenger van as a makeshift mobile dining room during COVID. The price was high enough that I bought only one to check it out before making a commitment. The quality is good and sturdy. But using the thing requires a deployment process that kept me from buying two more. At least not for the price.

Good so far
Used it for the first day, not bad. A bit shaky, but I think that is expected. I am worried that it might not stand up to usage, but lets see. Easy to install, works well. One trick (the device locks onto the seat in front of you), so use the seat in front of you as an adjustment technique/mechanism as well. The device itself adjusts, but you should use the seat to get it to generally where it is comfortable, then use the device to fine tune the final adjustment.

Wobbles like crazy, plastic is soft
I was hoping because this connected to the headrest it would be more sturdy. It's not. The plastic connecting the headrest and the tray is soft, and this thing wobbles like crazy. The desk flexes downward quite a bit with just a little bit of weight. I did leave it installed, but it wasn't long before it started falling apart. The various ratchets for the bracing underneath came loose and fell apart. Threw it in the trash.

Whimsy
I wish I did not waste my money on this. Not sturdy at all let alone stable. The only thing that can be put on this surface without collapsing is a weight of a smart phone. Sucks so bad

As advertised and perhaps better!
I ordered this in 2019 for my Mercedes S500 (model year 2001) as the modern generation ones won't fit this model. I was surprised by the build quality and the fit and it seems snug enough. Time will tell with usage but it seems a lot nicer than most of the other ones I've seen. Update: Still doing well 2 years on (March 2021). No rattling or negatives as noted in some of the other reviews.

I love this stand holder!
I have tried other holders on Amazon but they were either didn't fit right or wasn't study enough to use on a trip. This holder not only fits perfectly on my 2017 Tahoe, but is study enough to hold an iPad and bottle water while the vehicle is in motion. Great find!
