Changes everything. Must have
I installed this in my 2005 bmw 325i e46. install took a good 30 minutes. I had to drill my own hole into the setup. Sound quality is amazing. this is a must have for music lovers. have been using this for a year and it still works flawlessly.

Absolute Piece Of Made In China Worthless Junk...
When I received it the insulation was pulled away from the connector exposing the wires. Yes, it was in a sealed package - which means it came that way from the factory. The connector isn't keyed which means you can't tell if you have it in upside down or not when it's plugged in. Additionally - the connector that goes into the radio should be slotted so it locks into the factory BMW connector - it isn't, which means you can just pull this thing right out - nothing is holding it in place once installed. Of course after spending an hour completely dismantling my dash, drilling a hole in the ashtray to accommodate the female connector - the piece of &%$# didn't work.Truth be told I'm mad because I bought this from Amazon because it was on Prime, because I could get it in 2 days.. This is one of those Prime Products that was a piece of junk -- do yourself a favor, spend the money on the shipping and buy a quality connector.

Worked as expected.
Well made. Inline filter. Worked perfectly on my 2005 BMW 330ci with business radio. Just remember to insert the plug in the large connector, plug in the large connector Can you meet John on Tuesday morning at 9am? The address is 4625 Maple Ave. Bethesda, Md. 20814 then make sure you push in the Aux connector again from the back since it does not lock.

forcing me to listen to the boring old radio or breaking out CDs that are 10 ...
This product was a lifesaver for me. I own a 2003 BMW 330Xi that does not have an auxiliary option, forcing me to listen to the boring old radio or breaking out CDs that are 10 years old. After owning the car for about 6 months I got tired of listening to the radio and purchased an FM transmitter that connected my phone or iPod to the cigarette outlet, and used a "blank" station which I would set on the transmitter to play the music in my car. This worked at first until I went through about 5 of these gadgets in less than 3 months. I decided that I next would purchase a whole nre head unit to put in my car, until I was doing some research and found that my car radio actually had an auxiliary input in the back of the radio. I used this cable to install into my radio. It was very simple to do on my car after a few YouTube tutorials. Just make sure since this cable has a female end that you also purchase an auxiliary cord to connect from the cable to your device.

Works great, easy to install and cheap - make sure ...
Works great, easy to install and cheap - make sure to check to see if your e46 radio will support Aux (most after 2003 do) and check out online videos to see how to remove stereo.I ran the aux wire under center console (videos show how to remove and access under center console) and drilled a hole in plastic under change holder to install the plug for an aux input (see attached photo). I also installed a bluetooth receiver in the space (had to run a power supply for the BT) and now I have bluetooth on my E46 all hidden but easy to access.Be careful with the install of the wire if you stress the aux wire you can have problems also I found it is easier to place the plug end of the aux cord in the wire harness (bottom right - shown as the CD in the attached photo) before you plug it back into the radio, just be sure the side on the aux plug with the little arrow is on the top, after you plug the harness back into the radio push the aux plug into the radio to be sure you have a good connection. After the install you will want to increase the aux output on the radio to 5 for the best sound, just go to the stereo sound adjustments where you adjust the bass, treble etc.

CD Quality Audio
As good as CD quality. Installed quite easilyNotes on the install:- BE GENTLE: This is a cheaply made but effective cable- Try not to bend the ends too much- It's a very basic cable: If needed a soldering iron and a little solder will fix anything the breaks if you're accidentally a bit rough during the install

Do not buy.
This product does not work. I plugged it into the correct spot on the back of the radio, and the radio did not recognize that anything was plugged in. I tried to unplug the cord and plug it back in (giving it a nice firm push to make sure it was all the way in), and the cord separated from the plug.Piece of junk.

Buzzing sound
Okay overall this is a simple and cheap way to get aux in your e46. This chord is very sensitive and has grounding issues. I can’t charge my phone and listen to music because the driver side speakers buzz. Sometimes I can’t touch my phone because it buzzes on the driver side. It’s cheap but I would recommend oem which I will be switching to when I get annoyed enough
