The Middle Eastern recipes in Mrs. Bezjian's book are not easily found in other cookbooks. I had not anywhere encountered a recipe for Ayesh-el-Sa-raya, a bread baked in syrup and topped with clotted cream. There is even a workable recipe for lokoom, a fruit paste, for which I had been searching for years. There are Armenian dishes which may perhaps surprise many Armenians, such as paska, the Russian-Armenian Easter bread, snail shaped fritters with syrup, or a pudding made with chicken breasts. Certainly, any Westerner will be fascinated with the variety, as I was. Review: Thank you for this treasure - This book has the greatest recipes! Ive learned so much.. Thank you for having this book! This book has the greatest recipes! Ive learned so much.. Thank you for having this book! It is the best cookbook ever! And it was in beautiful condition. So thankful to have it!

The gold standard in Armenian cookbooks
My Aunt produced this book in the early 1980's (I think). This is an excellent book by the stereotypical Armenian mother cook etc. She was a wonderful woman and an AMAZING cook. The gold standard in Armenian cookbooks.

If you are only looking for one Armenian cookbook, this IS the one. It's no surprise that it has been republished multiple times. Folks this is a great cookbook!

Excellent cookbook
I've had this book for 20 years. The recipes are excellent and precise. Now I got one for my daughter so she can carry on the tradition of Armenian cooking alive
