Needed a replacement remote for my Samsung and picked this one. Love it, sleek look and great price. Works great and easy to use!

t we lost the original remote then when we found it, it wasn't working. Luckily after taking the batteries out and conmpletely powering off the TV and restarting everything it worked again but it was a terrible feeling so I decided to buy a 2nd remote for just in case and because we have a long couch so there's one on each side (lazy I know, LOL). I shopped around and they were all well over $20. I found this one and bought it right away because even if it was terrible it was cheap and worth a try. Well I have to say that we use this one much more than the one that came with the TV, we'll probably even buy another! It's not bluetooth like the one that came with the TV but that just means you need to be in line of sight of the TV which is no big deal for us. It does NOT have voice comand button or microphone, but we never use that anyway. The multicolor dots button on the right is replaced by a button labeled EXTRA which serves the same function. The VOL & CH buttons are black instead of silver but they feel like much better quality (more clicky and firm than the original). Under the VOL it's missing the label CC/VD and at the bottom of the remote it doesn't have the SAMSUNG logo. So those are the only differences and I would not pay the difference in order to have those additions to the remote. I would rather have the less glossy more tactile much cheaper seemingly higher quality plastic and buttons remote. If you need a replacement Samsung remote buy this now and you will not regret saving all that money!

I purchased remote for use on Samsung LED TV that is not “smart tv” that can recognize all the “codes” this remote offers. The quality of the plastic and the button response is similar to the original remote I have - it feels and weight is very similar and next to an original you’ll not see much difference. For the features I’m able to use (volume - mute - channel button-power) this remote works without any problems. Buttons have good feel and have not had to press multiple times. There was another brand on Amazon - and video showed person pressing buttons with a notable squeaking sound - this remote is far from that video - great value - but I can’t give more stares as I can’t validate if all functions work on intended tv model. Removal of battery case is difficult if you haven’t had experience with this type of remote - suggestion - press “arrow” area with thumb - use other numb to also push in direction to push - you may use some rubber material to get better grip - once opened put a bit of “grease” on two holes on bottom of remote and minimal amount on sides where they lock the cover in place - i used minimal amount of silicon lube this will help you open again in the future - test few times and it will be easier - you don’t need knife or ex’s to blade - stock with it and it will open - yes it’s hard first time around. Quality of plastic and thickness is like original - no issues with for and fit - limited functional review. Product does work out of box and does not need programming/paring. This remote does not offer voice recognition and for older Samsung models

No lies, I am one of those people who rarely writes reviews on Amazon but as I returned to reorder these remotes, I thought I would take the time to review them first. This remote didn’t require anything except batteries (which I get on subscribe and save - very convenient) and I was back to using my tv the way I had before my puppy ate the previous remote. They were so inexpensive and our puppy is a beautiful red golden retriever terrorist so we thought “hell, why not buy 2?” Today, I forgot to put the remote up on the stand before I left for work. My husband had to pull out the extra remote when he got home. Today, I also came back to buy two more remotes. I included a photo to show how our dog thinks you change the channel. Recommend the silicone case because the remote does get lost often in the couch and this helps prevent it from slipping down in the cushions and getting lost. Which is a whole other story. tldr: works well, cheap cost, buy two, get the cases, my puppy thought remote tasted good

This remote works okay but not as smooth as the original. Took me a few tries to connect this remote to the Tv. There seems to be a lag with the responses.
