Shoes Cover

Fit is perfect over my 8in lace up redwings. Heavy duty leather. These spats works great to stop molten drops of steel from burning up my boots.

The tops of my boots were continuously getting burned off by sparks and slags, and sparks would sometimes find their way inside my boots and burn my socks. I love these cowhide protectors, especially if you do oxygen-fuel cutting or heavy stick welding, such as pipe these work wonderfully. They are quite comfortable, protect your boots well, don't feel heavy, and are simple to put on. Nice, high-quality velcro straps are currently holding up really nicely. The cost-effective cowhide covers keep sparks out of your boots and are worth the investment.

I like these they go on easy and protect my boots from weld splatter. After a couple months some stitching on the velcro came loose and the elastic band for under the boot came loose but they still do their job. I would buy them again.

I'm new to welding and the only small burn I've received so far was from a spatter landing on my sock. So, covering my feet seems to be the way to go. These leather spats fit perfectly and stay in place via generous velcro tabs. They cover the my socks and do not interfere with walking.

I ordered these to keep wood shavings from getting into my sneakers and socks while turning wood. They would be great if I were wearing them within long pants, but it's warm weather where I live in the southeastern USA, so I'm wearing shorts. The placement of the velcro leaves a very large gap between my leg and the top of the boot covers. They really need to add much more velcro to ensure a tighet fit when needed. I remedied that problem by tightening the fit using Quick-Straps.

Easy to use and very effective

I'm used to getting a few small holes in my athletic shoes when welding or cutting, but it's never been that big of a deal.... until recently. Yeah, it finally happened, a large glob of molten metal fell off of my work bench, and right down in between my sock and shoe. After 5 or 10 minutes of running the cold garden hose down there right away, I was able to dry and bandage my foot. Not good! So I ordered these. They fit really well over my Brooks running shoes. The elastic strap on the bottom works well to hold them in place, but is very easy for on/off. The velcro on the back works just fine, and I think they'd fit over larger boots without any trouble, but I don't know that for sure. It just takes a few seconds to put these on and no more burns! No more holes in all my socks, and no more ruined shoes. Right?

Just what I needed to keep the spatter off of my shoes and socks. Also saves having to wear boots :-) Easy to fit and no more ruined socks :-)
