My son (3) learned how to cast with this because of the little rubber fish it came with. He loves to pretend he caught a huge fish every time he reels in! Easy to use and durable. We sat at our boat landing one day for 2 hours while he cast out and reeled in. He loves it! Just get it! Worth the money

Amazing. I got the Mickey Mouse one. We used the rubber fish to practice casting before the big day. We caught a multitude of sunfish with it. Then right before we were about to leave we brought in a 2-3lb bass. Theres no way to adjust the drag so I had to bare hand the line and net it towards the end but this is a kids rod, I never expected it to pull the bass at all
