Better and safer than a cage in the car
Originally we was going to acquire a decent crash tested cage for our car boot to start taking our growing Rizsla pup out and about. I was quite concerned still at issues such as if we got back ended and other accidents where dog could be thrown about in cage. But literally before I placed the order I asked a very good trainer what she thought of the cage. She said it was good but she used a dog car harness. So looking into it is was obviously safer. Dog is in rear seat. Is restricted and protected by the car seat belt and airbag safety systems. So this was a win win. It’s worked perfectly and our puppy was a lot happier being in the rear seat with suitable protective covers on seat than put in the boot in a cage. Construction of harness is excellent, easy to put on but I’d suggest getting it fitted properly with variable strap’s before you try it in car. Highly recommended.

This Feels Very Sturdy
I have been doing lots of research online for ACTUAL CRASH TESTED HARNESSES. Appologies for the shouting words but so many dog harnesses on the internet claim to be crash tested but are not and others that have been tested and failed, STILL mislead the public and imply they passed. To give you an idea only 4 harnesses have to date been passed in a crash test facility, all the others have failed or never tested. What I really like about this one is that it has been tested in the USA, EU & Australia; so you know it's going to be good.I like that it uses the same webbing as a seatbelt, that it has metal and not plastic threading clips. Something that can take more force than plastic and that instead of relying on a simple D ring to attach to a cord, the seatbelt actually fits through the back of the harness.I was dubious at first being that I have a ShihApso, that the harness would almost sufficate her throat being a dog of a shorter snout and hardly any neck but this when lying down sits firmly on the chest. My only two negatives are that the breast plate had a little give in shape on the smaller size for smaller dogs as the tightening of the front straps are quite hard and leave a bit of a gap. Also the grab handles where the seatbelt passes through a bit wider as it's very fiddly to get the seatbelt through the loops. Apart from that I am more than happy knowing my lil girl is going to be safe and secure.

Reassuring harness
Really like this harness. Feel so much better when my dogs strapped in and that it's been crash tested. I've had a few dog seat belts in the past but they all seem aimed at protecting you from the dog hitting you and not really.protecting the dog. But then I'm one of the few that would rather protect him than me.He on the other hand isn't too impressed because he likes to turn round in circles before lying down and gets tangled. He will walk with this harness on though which means it can't be too bad. My dog is very fussy and if he doesn't like something I put on him (like coats with hoods or short sleeves or anything too tight) he will just look at me with his head down and refuse to move. Each strap can be adjusted to different sizes if need be and there's handy measures on each one to make it quicker or to get them even. You can tell its really well made and I would give this 5 stars if not for the price. I have 2 dogs and would like them both to have one but it's a lot of money. My other dog doesn't call shotgun quick enough and isn't as high maintenance so happy to stay in the back in her carrier. I'd prefer her to have one of these though when we can afford it.

Quality product
Quality strong well made harness (same material as car seat belts) - one of the only ones that I could find that had been crash tested and certified (EU/US and Australia) so you know that your dog should also be safe (others - non tested only protect the driver/front seat passenger when in a collision and not the dog's well being) . It took a little while to get the fit right (I have Boxers which are deep chested), I found the measurement markings on the straps really useful aid to get the fit right and ensure it was a balanced fit (there is also a really helpful fitting video on the manufacturers website - my tip watch this first it will help speed up the process). I like that the dog has flexibility so they can sit up or lie down when clipped in to the seat belt. It is comfortable for my veteran Boxer dog who has spondylosis and also is easy to put on and take off. My vet was so impressed with it he is also going to consider buying one! The only slightly negative at first is that is seems so expensive initially to purchase - but going on it's quality I would expect that it should last, so it's a good long term investment when you have an adult dog. I am not sure that I would use the D rings to the rear of the harness when walking a bouncy dog on the lead as there is no front ring for control (So I would team up with a collar and lead for walking the dog or switch out to your normal walking harness when going for walks etc). However I am still happy to give the product 5 stars :) - I would certainly be happy to buy again and recommend to others.

Keeps coming loose and rubs against dogs armpits
Perfect in every way as a short journey car dog restraint, but if you take your any dogs for walks in it, it will keep coming loose (Yes I have folded the straps over the DANGER words correctly as per instructions)We have 2 x 2yr old labs, fitted it very snugly on either, and within 2 short walks, have had to keep re-adjusting it as it works its way loose. It has also rubbed the hair away from our dogs armpits causing them a lot of armpit irritation too.It scores a 3* for both how incredibly easy it is to put on with the magnetic fitting, our dog simply steps into it and the clasp just magically slots itself into place on his back and we attached his lead to the huge double D rings and go.I wish all dog harnesess fastened this way.But I just wish it didnt rub the hair off their armpits and keep working its way loose on them. I have to unwind all 4 lengths of seat-belt, re-adjust then roll them all back up and try again. For this price, I do expect far better.
