I have used to everyday for about 2 months now. I chose this particular stylus because of a review article that extensively analyzed styluses and rated the Maglus Stylus as one of the best (http://www.theverge.com/2012/4/10/2925937/best-stylus-ipad-review) and based off of it's stellar desertcart reviews. Although it is heavy (it is made of solid metal), it feels perfect in my hand and the weight doesn't interfere with my writing. The pen is made of premium quality materials and the sleek and strong magnet works very well at keeping the stylus attached to my iPad. The stylus writes precisely and easily for note-taking. After using it extensively for about two months, the rubber tip wore down and became unresponsive to writing. One of the best things about this stylus is that you can replace the tip when it wears down, which saves money in the long run. This stylus comes with one replacement rubber tip that comes in a handy metal container. I was also very impressed with the customer service from Applydea. They sent me a personal email inquiring about my experience with their fantastic product! I love supporting innovative small businesses whenever I can, especially when they made such a great product that they truly believe in. I highly suggest the Maglus Stylus without reservations for precise note-taking on an iPad mini. Review: Quality is Second to None, performs well for the limited technology of an Ipad. - I bought this for drawing on my iPad. This is a pretty decent stylus. Is it the best? Well, do they actually make one of those that works for the iPad? I don't think so. For what it is, it performs slightly better than the cheapy stylus. The cheapy skinny styli are not for me, so I was looking for a beefy weighted stylus, so this fills my need. Does it perform $36 worth better than the $2 stylus, I would say not enough better to warrant the cost difference. If this was $19.99, then I would give raving reviews for what you would get at that price point. But what you are getting is a very well balanced, nicely designed stylus that fits well in your hand and has a replaceable tip, not to mention quality container for the included extra tip and a very nicely packaged box. I would say the quality is remarkable. Since I bought this for drawing and tried it against several other cheapy styli and it does do better. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the accuracy of their type of stylus is phenomenal, so I was actually hoping this would be more in line with that, but it is not. Of course this is not comparing the same technologies, so this is an unfair comparison, just wishful thinking. While I love my iPad, I hate the lousy stylus options compared to the Galaxy Note series, as the accuracy of those is more like real life drawing & writing. I digress... I read several other reviews about the Microfiber Replacement Tips being more responsive and accurate. So I bought a couple. I was very disappointed with those. Talk about the opposite, While drawing with the rubber tip, it captured my brush strokes very well. The MicroFiber, not at all unless I really pressed hard. So, I sent those back. I can say if this came with the MicroFiber tips by default, it would have been a deal killer for me, especially at the cost of those! The MicroFiber tip was much firmer, but I think the Fiber was affected by a dirty (oily) screen. I did try it after cleaning the screen, it was improved, but not on par with the rubber tip. My thoughts are if the Rubber Tip was Firm and Solid rather than hollow and mushy, then the performance would be much better. But then it does not seem these are made. However if they were to make a Solid and more pointed rubber tip replacement, I would be first in line to buy a handful! All in all, this is a good stylus, it is a little gimmicky (the magnets) and that is more of what you are paying for the balance and feel, the quality of the product and the extra tip carrier and the packaging. It is not as responsive as I had hoped, but for the quality and feel, for me it is worth keeping, since the other choices for iPads are limited in my opinion.

Best I've tried
I should apologize to Amazon for "abusing" prime membership...but I ordered several styli from them to test which ones were best. This was it. Here are my reasons: Great feel. Good weight and balance. Good ergonomics. Thoughtful design: the magnet actually is strong enough to hold the stylus to the case under most circumstances (unlike another I could mention). Extremely smooth and responsive tip. There is a trade off between softer and harder rubber for tips. This one is perfect for me, at least. You could have a different opinion. But, it moves over the surface extremely smoothly. Good Value: Yes...it's expensive. But, it is very well built out of aluminum...not cheap at all. It also includes a spare tip, a "fob" in which you can store spare tips, and a metal adhesive plate you can attach to your case if it is not already the magnetic kind. The stylus then sticks to the case via the plate. Spare tips are readily available, reasonably priced and easy to switch out. A note about tips: they have made available a microfiber tip, same cost as the rubber one (two for about $10). I thought I would love the microfiber...but I don't. It's still good. But, it is fatter than the rubber tip and a bit less sensitive. Frankly, comparing the microfiber to other tips I've tried, it still comes out on top. But, it's not as nice as the rubber one. If you press a little harder normally, you may find the microfiber tip works great for you and lasts longer.

Great stylus, very comfortable and precise.
Great idea for interchangeable tips and ergonomics. Solid aluminium body, comfortable to hold and use, magnet holds it well on the Apple flip cover. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it could use a cover to protect the tip, and well as a clip for when you drop into a shirt pocket or bag. Outside of that, I cannot see any other areas that can be improved on.

GREAT Stylus!
I bought the Magnus after reading an online review. I had some of the cheapie ones that are fine for having customers sign their Square charges, but are terrible for anything detailed. I needed something that would work for sketching and writing music. The Magnus does a great job. * I love the fact that it will stick to the iPad via magnet so it is always right at hand. * Its shape keeps if from rolling off the desk or bench. * The micro-fiber tip seems very durable as well as accurate. * The weight and size feel good in my large paws, but my wife says it feels good for her hands too. * The replacement tips store nicely in the supplied container.

Less than expected
Drag was a bit more than expected and touch is in consistant. Heft is good, it gives you a sense that it won't break. The magnet will latch onto almost anything firmly, except for the Ipad... Any amount of tilt to the pad and it slips. The length and thickness are excellent, especially if you have big hands, it gives the feel of writing with an actual pen and not a pencil that has been sharpened to a nub. I play chess and jigsaw puzzles a lot and the inconsistent touch is bothersome, also if you are typing with it it will miss letters unless you tap hard, have not had it long enough to tell hoe long the tip will last. I expected better for the price.

Three Stars
Well made, high quality stylus. However, too short and too heavy for me. Return.
