Eagle Pack Natural Dry Small Breed Dog Food, Chicken & Pork, 30-Pound Bag

My dogs have been on this for a couple years. Their happy and healthy. Its a pretty generic food but not bad.

Dog Food Adviser gives Eagle Pack Small Breed the rare 5 star rating, but I RELUCTANTLY changed my dogs to this food after nearly 6 years of giving them Blue Buffalo Small Breed Fish and Brown Rice. I felt good giving them the Blue Buffalo Fish and was disappointed to need to switch their food after a sudden and abrupt discontinuation of their formula- without warning from Chewy.com or from Blue Buffalo (which I was registered with). Since dogs need to gradually make the switch, my husband drove to all the local pet stores trying to find a bag after we realized our auto-delivery didn't happen. I realize we have ownership there, but autoship is mindless and that's the point. The Blue Buffalo was a 4 star food and the Eagle Pack claimed to be 5 stars, but I was aggravated and not really believing it. For starters, the protein was chicken and pork instead of fish. I thought that would mean dry hair, skin, and eyes for my dogs. Also Blue just lost a big lawsuit for lying about ingredients and using meat by-products, so I went in skeptical. I thought I'd lost trust in all dog food companies.However, my dogs LOVE this food! They've eaten it for 3 months and already look trimmer and healthier. My hairy dog is so much softer, and my furry dog sheds less! I AM AMAZED! The best part is their breath is better. One of my dogs had breath that would make you want to push him away and it's not bad anymore! Eagle Pack Small Breed deserves 5 stars! Also, this is HALF the price of the Blue and my dogs are obviously healthier! Thank goodness for all the inconvenience that caused this upgrade! Also, I like Amazon's subscribe and save so much better than having to deal with a separate vendor for dog food. Win, Win, Win, Win, Win- 5 STARS!

My Sheltie/Ameican Eskimo mix Olivia has been somewhat of a finicky eater since she was a small puppy. I had her on Nature's Choice, the puppy lamb formula, which was grain and corn free, with lamb being the first ingredient. She ate it happily for a few days, but then seemed to lose interest.I started the mix in to change her diet slowly, and the little turd ate AROUND her old food, gulping down the new food. The first two days, her bowel movements were somewhat soft, but then became regular after that.My husband doesn't believe me, but I SWEAR her breath smells better already! She loves the food and had no problem with digestion. She is a small/medium size breed, being 8 months old and still growing at 19.7 pounds.I picked this dog food over others because it was rated so highly on Dog Food Advisor without being insanely expensive. I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of food and the price. I have this already set up for auto-delivery, so things should go smoothly!

This dog food must have good nutrition because my dogs both have nice shiny coats and are in great health after eating it for the past 8 months. They don't love it though, which is why it got 4 stars instead of 5. They'll eat it if they're hungry enough but when I feed them in the morning they sniff it and walk away, then come back later when the hunger sets in. It works out because it keeps them from getting fat from eating too much. We foster dogs and it's the same with them. They prefer the flavor of the cheap dog chow that the rescue gives us, and walk away when we offer this to them. It's good for them and they eat it eventually though so we keep using it.

We have had some problems with finding small breed dog food and the pieces are never, ever small enough. I wanted to make sure that they liked it before making this a recurring purchase. My only problem is that when I took it out of the box with a few other items purchased, there was food on the bottom. As soon as we lifTed it, it went everywhere. Normally I am very pleased with Amazon but this was extremely disappointing and makes me very reluctant to go ahead with the recurring purchase. Other than that, I am very pleased with this food, the size and the price. I read product reviews and this was in the top 10 out of 20. And the fact that out dogs love this is awesome!

I thought I was feeding my dog a good quality food because I was purchasing it at the vets office. After reading reviews on dog foods in the Whole Dog Journal, I realized what I was actually giving her with this popular brand dog food. By-products! What the heck is that? And why was it the first ingredient? I mean was she eating chicken feet? Or lips and other animal body parts? Also could be scraps from the slaughter house. I looked at several different dry foods and finally picked this one. The transition was easy as she loved this new food. I also changed her canned food and I was so happy knowing now that this was a much better product, and a whole lot cheaper then the vet one. My order through Amazon was fast like always.

First I have a Pomeranian who isn't that picky of an eater.Bought this based on reviews and Its good ingredients, and the fact I was really tight on money. however my dog isn't very interested in eating it.I did the slow mixing of her old food in with this. she methodically pulled her old food out leaving only Eagle Pack kibble.Running out of the old kibble she went on a feed strike and she didn't eat for 2 days. I decided to hype up some food like it was treats and she fell for it. Shes now been eating this for the last month. I now let her free feed which i have never been able to to and she only eats when shes really hungry. she still looks very sad while eating this like i am punishing her.She is healthy, and seems to be operating within normal Pomeranian parameters. I wish i bought a smaller bag.

Dogs love it!Exact same company, line & ingredients & formulation as the 'Original' (reg size kibble) chicken/pork, but way cheaper same 30 lb bag.

Mes chiens ne l'aiment vraiment pas. Et pourtant ils ne sont pas difficile. Dommage elle est très économique.

Love the food but the last order my bag if food was ripped open a hassel to return it.
