This is an amazing gimbal!
This is a great gimbal for my A7iii with the Sigma 14-24 Art.When putting it together and balancing it the first time I'll admit it was a struggle and when I thought it was balanced it wasn't. But all you need to do is google on how to balance the Crane 2 and you'll find a video quick enough. After watching a short video and practicing a couple times with different lenses I can now get it perfect in roughly a minute. The weight:It's not heavy, but not light. Feel this is a great spot for it to be. To heavy and you get worn out to quickly. But to light and you have to work harder at keeping your walk smoother to avoid up and down movements...hard to explain but if you ever worked with a gimbal for a smartphone that is super light you probably know what I mean.Motor jitters and noise:Motors shake when you move to certain positions IF you don't correctly balance your camera. If you run into jitters, re-balance your camera. As for any noise, I've not heard any.Battery Life:Again, you lock in that perfect balance you probably can have it running from sunup to sundown. But if you have Nomophobia buy a spare set of batteries, they are cheap! Now, I have not yet tried the Follow Focus attachment that comes with this, so I don't know how well it works or if it has any issues. Probably try it sometime, but for what I need gimbal for I don't need it.I did also with this purchase bought some Z-axis handles to further help with up and down movement of walking. Honestly they are probably a waste of money if you can learn the "ninja walk." I have not even taken them out of the box yet because I'm not noticing any bounce in my videos.Lastly that second picture. That is to add weight to the gimbal so I can use it for my Smartphone too. Min weight to operate is 500g, With that and my smartphone attached it weighs in at about 620g. The reason I did this is because I tried a couple smartphone gimbals that I just plainly didn't like. They are too light so couldn't eliminate bouncing when walking and had to remove my heavy duty phone case to get the device under the gimbals weight limit (more so with the DJI Osmo mobile 3 but was right at the limit with case for Zhijun Smooth Q2). I would experience jitters with both also. You could also use a ballhead if its heavy enough but think the height of that plus phone mounted on it would get a little ridiculous.O'yeah, did I say you should balance it? Yea.. balance it and you'll love it!

Works both ways for me!
This is a great tool. Must have for any crane holder. Helps give me the stability I am looking for in a much smaller package. Mine also allows me to use it in either direction. If its a flaw, I love it! I took photos to show this. Its not stripped in any way. Lines up beautifully and smoothly in either direction. I do not normally use it in reverse, but someone asked a question that I decided to try out. A picture is worth 1000 words.

Best value for money
I used to own a zhiyun crane v2 and loved it using with my sony a6500. After upgrading to sony a7r3, I felt the need to upgrade my gimbal to support a heavier payload. I bought a zeiss 35mm f1.4 for my a7r3 (which is a heavy setup) back in Febuary and it was also the time when DJI Ronin-S was announced. It looked like the perfect gimbal for my needs as it packs new features that Crane doesn’t have and also support a heavy payload. I waited for months for the release of the ronin-S only to find that it wasn’t the perfect gimbal for me because the following reasons:- Ronin-S is 600grams heavier than Crane 2. Thats a huge difference for gimbal work, especially if you plan to use it on travels- Ronin-S requires the motor attached to the battery to be able to charge it- If you plan to travel around with the Ronin-S using the carrying case that came with it, you will look like an ice cream vendor. I hate that styro case. The build quality, slanted motor, and some features of the ronin like the sports mode and 360roll may sound appealing to some people but at the end of the day (90% of the time) you will only use the gimbal for simple tracking and panning shots.Crane 2 is lighter and comes with the follow focus motor which cost a lot in DJI equivalent. The carrying case of crane 2 is superb and classy. Not to mention the excellent customer service of Zhiyun. Very helpful and friendly.

Awesome
Feels like a solid product. Would be nice if they altered a few aspects and made it more friendly software wise to Sony but that’s the biz. Still a great gimbal. The tripod is really superb and works great. If you’re going to get this though, make sure you get a side angle grip.

So much better than the Ronin-SC
I’m very new to gimbals. I got the Ronin-SC first and couldn’t figure out how to work the thing properly. I just got the Crane 2 today and it was super easy to set up and works great. Def a learning curve when it comes to gimbals though.

Just need a bit of help i guess
I have a few issues with it, its hard to balance my bigger lenses on my G9, like my Rokinon 24mm but on my Panasonic 25mm is ok, i also have a serious jitter for some reason and wgen i move to fast it confuses the gimbal and it just quit all functions.

Wow
this was in my wish list.. after struggling to produce stable smooth video I wished for a stabiliser .. and at £340 original price it was waiting in the basket. And then out of the blue they dropped the price to £199.. and it has been a pleasure to use.. quite a learning curve to get those cinematic looks but achievable. My camera cannot be worked remotely but that is an easy enough work around.. and stability actually improves with a heavy lens [if your camera is too light you need to add weights]

Poor quality
This was a poor quality product, it kept vibrating and I only had a Canon 70D with kit lens on it. Wasn’t great returned it within the week. I’ve bought the Weebill 2 instead, I’ll have to see how that performs, hopefully better than this
