The Key to Theosophy

Beautifully made paperback
This version of a public domain was a big surprise. The layout was well done, easy to read, and with - as far as I can tell, and I have checked many passages to the original, which is now falling apart - a high degree of fidelity to the original. If you are interested at all in what is called "theosophy", you will find this book to be highly informative, not to say, inspiring.

Great book full of Theosophical questions and answers
This amazing book has filled in many gaps of my Theosophical understandings. It is a Question and answer discussion about the concepts and the society itself. I listen to it on my kindle text to speech constantly. Its easier than most Blavatsky books, I found. Her writing style can be quite expansive and long in its explanations of her subjects. This however is more of a concise approach. I wouldnt start with this book however. A 'Textbook of Theosophy' by Ledbeater was good for me. Also this is one of the recommended books of the Society course studies.

Great Introduction
This book is an excellent introduction to the views of Theosophy, which in many respects is not a religion or a philsophy; it is a helpful guide to distinguish and compare theosophy both to the world religions as they are practiced and the "secret wisdom" that is also found in all world religions. As another reviewer remarked, the Glossary is a very helpful set of definitions for learning further about the theosophical perspective.

I wouldn't recommend it.
This is not an exact reproduction of the original. I wouldn't recommend it.

If it were written in simpler English, I'd give it five stars
This book gives a very nice introduction to the Theosophical movement.Theosophy, to me, is a religious focus that does NOT disagree with any religion, but which is, to me, a way to think about God in ways that extend beyond any normal or regular system of faith.Years ago, my Dad was into Theosophy, and I attended some of the conferences at a regional park. (I crashed the program, not paying an entrance fee, and they acted as if I was a full member. They were more interested in my attending than they were in getting a few dollars in the pot. (It helped that I lived a mile away at the time and got free meals from the people who ran the conference center where they shared meals, so it didn't cost them anything.)If you enjoy studying alternate religious points of view, get this book.Like I said, the only thing that keeps me from giving it a top rating is that it is written at a very high reading level, NOT like USA TODAY which is written at an eighth grade reading level.John

H.P. Blavatsky
What an extremely intelligent woman for her time. All of her books are a little hard to read because they are extremely wordy. However, I do recommend her books for those interested in her life and/or understanding Theosophy. I recommend it...

excellent book but faulty version
The books are amazing in terms of content: they give you all the essential knowledge you need to have in order to dive deeper into the philosophical world of theosophy. However, this kindle version is faulty, as section 10 of "key to theosophy" is repeated twice and section 11, which covers karma and reincarnation and is of extreme importance, has been omitted. This is an enormous fault and should be corrected.

A very important book to the Theosophical Movement
It is a very good book of the Theosophical Movement and a "must read" to whoever wants to go deeper in this study. It was written in the end of the life of Madam Blavatsky, and she wrote it as questions and answers aiming to make a book which was more accessible than her main publications "The Secret Doctrine" and "Isis Unveiled", which are both very dense and difficult. However, whoever is beginning his/her studies in Theosophy should be aware that it is not an easy reading, and probably other introductory book should be read beforehand in order to make this one more comprehensible.

For those who know a bit of oriental religion
I have to admit that i lost interest in this book because of legion of oriental and hindou terminologies. Though it is explain in the glossary i have found it greatly annoying. May be a second reading will help.

Much easier to understand than the Secret Doctrine!
As a Theosophist, I recommend this book to anyone who is studying Theosophy (ancient wisdom of the gods). It is much easier to understand than the Secret Doctrine and a must for anyone who is a serious student of ancient wisdom.

A must for Theosophists
This book really helps any students of Theosophy to understand where H P Blavatsky is coming from. The question and answer format is easier to follow than the Secret Doctrine, for beginners in Theosophy.
