I was trying to connect a newer HDMI TV to an older pre-HDMI stereo system. Great stereo, just wrong connections. This little unit works great, let's me run older RCA/analog inputs to stereo while still pushing HDMI to TV, looks and sounds great.

Allows you to record whatever you atch on firestick to another TV or VCR
To be able to plug a VCR and smaller TV to watch or archive documentaries I like that Amazon Firestick has for free. Firestick with Amazon Prime is awesome. Cut the TV shows and learn about the Universe around you. All you need is modem. Buy the power part for the Fireestick. You're in heaven for 1/2 the price Spectrum charges MONTHLY you now only pay $100/ year for Firestick.

Do not buy if your TV is 3:4. It does not convert 16:9 HD to 3:4 NTSC letterbox.
A very common use of this product is to watch HDTV (HD) signal, on an old analog NTSC TV. While this device will down convert HDTV signal, 1080i 720P etc. to composite NTSC, it displays the HD signal on the NTSC TV not as a letterbox, but full hight on the TV. Since old NTSC TVs are 4:3 aspect ratio, the 16:9 HD image is stretched vertically to fill the TV screen, everything is tall and skinny. In other words, if you have a round object in the picture, like the CBS or ABC logos, instead of them being a circle, they are distorted and become ovals. See pictures.

Price vs quality is reasonable.
Quality of picture is nice, clear and the sound too is good. The only thing is, no free hdmi or rca cable (just kidding). But overall review, price and quality is reasonable.

This is a replacement for an identical unit that quit working.
I replaced one that quit. It’s a decent product for something so cheaply priced. No complaint otherwise.

Works as advertised! Easy to install and setup.
This device worked exactly as intended. Since it is all hardware-based, there is no configuration or programming required. Just plug in the appropriate cables, and presto, you have support for legacy video/audio components. Decent price as well!

Did exactly what I expected.
What I needed was to pull tv and audio out of a HDMI cable feeding my tv. Changed the cable box and “lost” the RCA composite video and audio out put. Now I can run a HDMI cable from the cable box through this box to my tv and have the 3 RCA plugs to provide signal to drive the tv in the kitchen. Plugs plugged in and video in t(e kitchen, however, the sound was not decoding correctly. No problem. First rule of technology, switch it all off and switch it all on again. Working perfectly now. Good picture, good sound, and very low latency.

Product works with little to know prior instructions. Works like a charm. Was nice to be able to re-use some products using the old connections. This product was the key to that. Thanks!
