File and Folder Dividers, 3-Count, Red/Blue/Black (50912)

I work at a school and the cumulative folders for the kids were in large filing cabinets. They used to be in hanging folders but those would rip and whoever was looking for a file would inevitably get sliced with the hanging folders silver "hangy thing". <~~(made-up terminology) We thought of a way to make this process better, and taking them out of the hanging file folders was step one. We used these to separate the grade levels and it actually helps hold up the files from slipping. (We also have book ends to hold them up from the back.) Great product. Really helps in seperating files and does have enough strength to hold up the files.

Exactly what we needed and one-of-a-kind. We specifically wanted a way to create "sections" in the files and cardboard file guides were not substantial enough to set the sections apart. These make it easy to separate and visualize the major categories among hundreds of hanging files. I only wish they came with Labels or had label pockets to affix to the top.

I bought these to use in a drawer separating my students files. They are very sturdy, they just need to be about an inch longer. It’s a great idea but needs some adjusting. Unfortunately some of the files slide underneath so I have to keep adjusting. It’s still better than what I had.

They work great for dividing out my file cabinet!!

I couldn't use them because my drawer was built oddly, but they should work for you perfectly well.

I'm online right now ordering more of these and realizing it's time I finally wrote a review. This is probably my 4th time reordering these, as they are perfect for separating files into sections in my plastic file boxes. What's especially super about these is the dividers clearly show above my individual files (which are in hanging folders), but are still low enough for me to securely close the lid on my plastic file boxes. The dividers are strong and sturdy, easily moveable over and over without fear of breakage, and seem to last forever. Another bonus is the dividers spare me from having to create labels using those horrible plastic-tab type dividers (which are also so flimsy). As I store inactive files/boxes, I keep buying more of these. No regrets - I love them! Example of how I use these: For any particular year, I have a file box specifically for that year's taxes. I'll have individual files for different vendors, and then use these dividers to separate out which deduction category they belong for tax reporting purposes. I don't bother to label the dividers, as I can tell what categories they are based on the individual files within that section.

These dividers are flimsy and don’t stay up well on their own. I’m using them inside crates, so I had to zip-tie them in place to make them work. Without extra support, they fall over and don’t really function well as separation pieces. They’re not ideal, but with a little effort, they can be usable.

I've been so happy with these file dividers that I've ordered them twice now! They allow me to clearly section areas within a file drawer making it much easier to organize and find specific physical files. These dividers provide a very visible separation as well as a sturdy one for when I push the section of files around. If you need a way to help visually separate sections in your file drawer, I highly recommend these dividers!

Great idea, but I wish that the had more wait to help hold the files into place.
