Haven't used it yet but looks like a well appointed set-up for doing some magnet fishing in some of the local bayous. With a good carry box, should be easy to keep up with all components and keep the magnet clean-er....grin. Teen granddaughter wants to have a go at it...but fancy nail job might nix the idea....we'll see.

Appears to be well made. I have not had a chance to try it except for on flat metal around the house but appears what I was wanting.

READ BEFORE BUYING!! I’m not sure why they are showing pictures of this magnet picking up piles of coins. I’m also not really sure what type of metal this magnet is supposed to attract, but Ive casted this into multiple bodies of water on several occasions to make sure it wasn’t something I was doing wrong.. I haven’t picked up 1 coin, bottle cap, can tab, rusty nail, fishing lure, or anything else that someone who is trying out magnet fishing would expect to be pulling in.. the only thing I’ve been able to actually pull in is tiny piece of iron ore from the river. I can flick them off very easily though with about a half a pound of force so also very unsure of how they come up with their numbers. When testing it at home with many different metal objects, the only thing that stuck was a very light weight wrench, but I could shake the magnet and it would fall off. In short, this is a scam company with a terrible worthless product. Please don’t waste your time or money like I have.

The product is a good product and it works well however was just a few hours of use magnet fishing. The rope started frying and coming apart and now it’s unusable I could cut off what started frying but then I’m gonna be too $hort to use efficiently but for the price it’s a great starter kit and works good. I just gotta go to Home Depot now and buy a better rope like a climbing rope. if the rope was a little more quality, I’d probably give it a four or a five star, but I have to replace the rope after one day of use so three stars it is.

Strong magnet that can be both attached vertically and horizontally to the rope. WARNING: DO NOT hold it close to your PC/Laptop hard drive or phone since it can delete data or damage it. Great product, cannot wait for the weather to be better so I can try it out!

Bought this for my hubby and he was delighted with the whole package. Very useful carry case to keep everything together. A powerful magnet too and handy grappling hook. I just worry about how much junk he will catch and bring home.

Was excited to give this my little boy, but when it arrived the box was smashed, but I decided that didn’t really matter… However it was also missing the glue and hook - not to worry, I’ll try the magnet - completely useless! - so decided to return it for a refund.
