This harmonic balancer repair sleeve did a good job. Snug fit and sturdy item.

A nice money saving fix
These sleeves are shockingly thins and do an excellent job in fixing a grooved crankshaft damper pulley. They are a little fragile due to their thin construction, so watch a youtube video or two to get some install tips. I was pleased I bought several as most any high mileage engine is likely to benefit for one of these. I also like to have a spare on hand in case I muff an install.

It a sleeve and it fits a SBC balancer.
The plating on the sleeve does flake off when installed as the other review states. I simply wire brushed the rest off before I installed the balancer. This one does not come with a cap for installation, so it will need to be pressed on. I used a 2X4 and a dead blow mallet. It works as described on a SBC harmonic balancer when your front main seal has worn a groove on the balancer.

Not worth the money , the crime starts peeling off as soon as it is installed
Installed it as I have many times with other brands and the chrome finish started cracking and peeling off.

Junk
This item is made from chrome plated mild steel, the plating just flaked off after installation. Very aggravating having to remove and return to Amazon for a refund.

easy to install
I sanded the old surface down to bare metal, then filled the groove where the old seal had run with Evercoat metal body filler. Once that had dried I sanded it again, then applied a little locktite to the surface and tapped the sleeve on with a wooden block and small hammer. It went right on. I don't know how long it will last.
