For the first time in 5 years, we have been able to (somewhat) properly cut our 10yr old autistic sons hair. This is a huge win for us and our son. While the clippers are not silent, and we didn’t expect them to be, they are far quieter than standard clippers that we have previously tried. They are also friendly looking, so we left it out for our son to basically play with, as it looks like a toy. We attached the 3/6 attachment, so the bare clippers were not exposed. Even if they were, these are still very safe and wouldn’t cause any harm or injury. He turned it on and off throughout the day, touching the clippers off his cheek or arm, and sometimes his hair, familiarising himself with the clippers. By the end of that day, he was comfortable enough for us to sit next to him and cut his hair with them. He now has a fresh buzz cut, and his face is back to being bright and happier looking. This has been an instant success for us. Delighted with these clippers. Everybody is dealing with different challenges with haircuts for autistic children, but based on our experience, these are definitely worth trying.

After looking at lots of different clippers for kids with sensory needs i settled on these and i have never been so happy! My 4yr old has sensory issues, especially with noises and touch (please someone invent a touchless way of clipping toenails!) and has refused a haircut for the best part of a year. Before that we were able to coax him into letting his favourite person cut it three times (his granny), but has refused from it. Honestly these clippers have the sound and feel of an electric toothbrush but still cut! I showed my son them, let him turn the on and off, showed him the pictures on it and told him they were special clippers for children. After 2 days he let us give him a full cut 🙌🏼 His hair is so thick but he was happy to let us work away the whole 10mins. Now every childs sensory limits will be different, but for quietness and low vibration, these are well worth the money. Can't speak to the longevity or battery life yet.

It works great, but the charger port is very uncommon and not compatible with common chargers. I lost the charger cable provided with the pack and now can't use the device any longer!

Very quiet, makes minimal noise so are great for my non verbal 3.5 year old autistic son who hates loud noises. He also hates the itchy feel of cut hair on him, so that combined with loud noise mean massive nuclear meltdowns. I let him touch these clippers first whilst turned on so he got used to them before I attempted a trim. He wouldn't touch my normal noisy clippers or allow them anywhere near him. Clippers are also safer to use than scissors as my son constantly tries to stick his fingers in the scissor blades where he can't so much with clippers as they have narrower blades guarded by hair length attachments. The only thing is that these attachments provided are quite short but I used the clippers more like scissors to safely trim the sides and front whilst keeping his long hair on top. He still didn't like it but due to them being quieter than normal clippers and safer than scissors, he wasnt as nearly as bad as normal and I actually managed to trim his hair for the first time in 1.5 years! These clippers are amazing! A real game changer. Now he can't hide behind his hair to avoid our communication attempts!

I have a 6 year old who’s autistic and ever since he was a baby we’ve struggled to do his hair, I dread the hotter months because he’s such a sweaty child he needs regular cuts (I don’t like him fully bald!) Bought these after seeing good reviews regarding Sen and I have to say wow! I’ve been using standard “adult” clippers and it always always leaves bigs clumps round his ears and the back of his head from him not staying still and the clippers being so big these were perfect and I didn’t feel like I was hurting him! They obviously arnt silent more of a vibration sound rather than you’re loud clipper noises, don’t get me wrong he was still slightly upset when I first started but no where near to how upset he was with the big clippers so so impressed! 1000% recommend!

Product is good at cutting kids hair, easy to hold and use, but not silent or quiet at all and my son heard it as soon as I turned it on, so the struggle continues. Needs to re-advertise to remove all quiet or silent language used.

EDIT 20TH NOV 2021 I HAVE CHANGE MY REVIEW FROM 3 TO 5 STARS AS we have been using these all this time and my son got used to them, we found 2 ways to get him to let us cut his hair! (I initially left a 3 star review as my child freaked out at the sound of the clippers and it was a battle! They are quietrer than most clippers but definitely sound like clippers.) First way: involves a vaccum cleaner. 1.Get some paper or tissue (or rice) 2.rip up tiny and throw that stuff in front of a vaccum cleaner hose, continue to throughout the hair cut. 3. Let toddler use the hose to clean up the mess. 4.Turn on clippers and sneakily do the back and sides while toddler is vaccuming, child barely notices and when does barely cares 5. When child notices hair dropping and they realise they are no bothered by it, praise them for having a hair cut and how exciting it is cleaning up the hair too!. 6. Let child clean up the hair 😂👏 Second way: Let child play in the shower and using the shower hose to pretend to be a fireman. Cut the hair with clippers. The power seems to last forever i've only charged it about 4 times since got it, we only use for about 5 mins at a time though

My 3 year old autistic son has alopecia and as a result, we have to shave his head often. It has always been such a struggle for him due to his sensory issues and then also so hard for us to have to put him through this - he gets extremely worked up. This item made hair cuts so much easier - of course it’s still hard but so much better than it used to be because these clippers are much quieter. He tolerates them much better and is happy as soon as we are finished (before it used to ruin his evening). Thank you!

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser elektrischen Kinder-Haarschneidemaschine. Sie ist sehr leise, was besonders wichtig ist, damit sich Kinder beim Haareschneiden nicht erschrecken. Das Gerät liegt gut in der Hand und ist leicht zu bedienen. Die Schneideleistung ist hervorragend – die Haare werden gleichmäßig und ohne Ziepen geschnitten. Besonders gefällt mir das sichere Design mit abgerundeten Klingen, sodass man sich keine Sorgen um Verletzungen machen muss. Der Akku hält lange und lässt sich schnell aufladen.
