WAY overpriced for what it is. Should be a $30 item.

The SkyTech TS-3 was shipped without the receiver. IT'S A PAIR made up of a remote(hand held XMTR) and a RCVR unit. This store makes you buy two items and charges double for both.For the same price I ordered a "Durablow TR1003 " kit. This handheld has many more features BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE......The Durablow uses AAA in the hand held remote; the SkyTech uses CR2032 coin cells which don't last long. Go with the Durablow TR1003.(It looks like (but I can't confirm) the receiver is the same for the Sky and Durablow.)

It appears to work. Wish it didn't use batteries. Installs easily

Installed for a Heat N Glo FB-Grand. It works, and is better than just an on off switch, but the temperature range (when it comes on and off) is baffling. I could understand an inaccurate temperature reading, but I don't understand why there would be any delay turning on and off when the unit reaches the set temperature. As stated in other review there is a 2° swing.

For us, the thermostat function is useless, because it allows such a wide temperature range between turning off and on. It turns on when the temp gets two degrees below the set point, and off when the temp gets two degrees above the set point. So the room temp fluctuates within a 5-degree range. That doesn't sound like much, but we find it too much. In our case, the range is even greater because the unit is mounted on an exterior wall, which probably slows down the unit's sensing of the room temp changes. We just use it to turn the fireplace on and off -- don't use the thermostat function.

We have two microvolt controlled home fireplace log sets in our living and "morning room" and wanted to use a more automated system (as opposed to the existing on-off switches')to control their use. The all digital Skytech TS-3's allow us to securely control temperature and the start/stop operations of the fireplaces exactly as we hoped to achieve. The thermostats were very easy to install, set up, and control. We knew that if we had any issues that Amazon was backing up our purchase, which made this an easy, and as it again turned out, to be with Amazon, a great purchase. We highly recommend the Skytech TS-3 to others.

Works well, easy install. Goes through batteries pretty quickly but not a big deal. 2 minor complaints: temp delta to swing from shut off to turn back on is not programmable, and no timer capability to switch temperature ranges over day and night. Otherwise does basic on-off function flawlessly.

I have this thermostat already for a year and I am so glad with it. Easy to operate. Accurate. Before I had old millivolt mercury one. It didn't work properly keep my fireplace running a lot of time. This one just turn on and off fireplace when needed to keep set temperature. Just + - 0.5 degree difference between on and off. That I can just forget about it. It is also remind me when I need to change batteries. Original one lasted for almost 10 months.
