Lumex 2840GA Versa-Helper Floor Stand, Gray, Designed for Lumex 2800GA Trapeze Bar (Sold Seperately)

Product was exactly as shown. I was concerned it would not be stable enough for my son to pull up on but was quite happily proven wrong. This is a very good choice if you don't have a headboard or don't want to ruin one. The stand is quite long so it works as a good counter-lever. It has greatly helped my son's recovery process. He is 5'11" and approximately 175lbs and it hold up very well.

This has been so helpful for my husband! He has recently had his leg amputated and it is hard for him to maneuver in the bed! This has given him what he needs in order to move about! It is very sturdy!

Had a stroke and used one in physical rehab. Now in assisted living and it provides me with freedom of movement

First I want to say that I buy a lot of Amazon items. I RARELY leave a 1 Star review. I am rating this 1 Star for two reasons. One, just like everyone else says, it IS NOT as pictured. It is only the Stand. The legs and A Frame. You still need to purchase the overhead bar and hanging handle. And two, most of all, it is weak. The legs have two small post that go upright into the A Frame at the bottom and then you place a pin through a hole during assembly. Both of those small pins have bent on my unit and the whole thing flexes every time I try to use it now. We have had a close look at it and have determined that it is actually bent and it is only like a month old. I am a large guy but I only use it to roll over with one hand. I would say that with my strength I am unable to place a huge amount of strain on it. Bottom line, it is weak...Not sure what I am going to do with it now other than take the hit an replace it.

Very happy with this product. My dad has been using this for the last few weeks and it has been a tremendous help! Highly recommend for anyone needing help in and out of bed!

I was glad that I read in one review before I purchased that it didn't include the trapeze like it is pictured. We already had the Trapeze and were able to just install it into the stand. It isn't safe for a large person to pull up on without it tipping. The way we solved this problem is I purchased tie downs with webbing straps and fastened them onto the stand and around the legs of the frame of your bed. Then we winched them up tight so the stand didn't move when a 6 Ft man that weights 220 lbs. pulled up on it. My husband uses a Sleep Number Steel Metal Bed frame so we fastened the stand to the opposite side of the beds legs than he gets in on. That way when he pulls on it it doesn't come up off the floor and tip over. Then once he is in the bed the trapeze is hanging over the bed so he can use it to move himself around in the bed. His left side is paralyzed so he has no use of it. That is why he uses a Trapeze.

The Floor Stand was easy to assemble. Worked very well with the trapeze. Sturdy, but how sure how it would hold up for someone >225#. My dad is less than 180#'s, and it 'tilted' at times if he does not pull himsel up from dead center. Overall, very useful device for those with bed mobility issues. A lot cheaper here than elderlycare.com website.
