This one is great at this price and the wooden serving tray is just a handy bonus as a pot stand for use straight out of the oven. I really don't understand the numerous reviews for many cast iron pans that talk about rust or discolouration or food sticking...as long as you do the following: 1. season it well before first use 2. let it cool after cooking in it, and then clean it using just hot water and a steel (or similarly tough) scourer (no soap!) and definitely don't put in a dishwasher 3. make sure it's fully dry straight away...don't let it sit in a dish rack 4. do not cook acidic foods like tomatoes or vinegar in it (it will remove the seasoning) 5. wipe a little vegetable oil over the full cooking surface with a paper towel. Following these simple rules I've never had to re-season a pan and all my cast iron pans (and carbon steel ones) are more non-stick than teflon. The more you use them the more non-stick they become! Be aware that you must “season” these before first use, which involves a simple process of oiling them and heating them -directions included. Then they will be virtually non-stick, and like all cast iron pans, get better with age. You do not use soap on these, just a stiff brush or scraper and hot water to clean. After use, clean then wipe a thin coat of vegetable oil on them with kitchen towel. The instructions that come in the box say they are not suitable for dishwashers which contradicts the content of the advert. Also I can barely get my fingers under the wooden board, no hope with oven gloves. I will use them for something other than their intended use so will not return them.
