I also got the matching sports bra. The only issue I have is because I sometimes wear an SI belt, the velcro on the belt has caused the material to pill in one section, but that's my own fault. I used to be a competitive dancer so I feel like I know the good leggings from the bad. These are great! The butter lift fabric is so soft and yet still compressive enough to smooth and slim. They’re a great daily legging and gym legging. They’re not see through, at all (in black) and they’re the perfect length. The V tapered seam in the back is extremely flattering. Bonus! The waist band never rolls or digs. Just a dream! And yes they compare, if not surpass, the super expensive leggings at other flashy brands. I would say true to size, and I have seen some small pilling but that’s expected considering how much I wash and wear them.
