Works great in my Bambu X1C
I’m very impressed with this Overture PLA filament and it works great with the stock settings on my Bambu X1C. The filament comes on a cardboard tube, just like the BambuLab filament. This means it fits in to a BambuLab spool and has the notch which helps you align it on to the spool. This is a major plus point for me as I hate having to re-spool new filaments. On testing the filament, I printed a Benchy which came out great. The filament looks smooth and clean and that’s with the standard stock settings. I imagine you could dial it in even better for even smoother results. Overall, I’m really happy with this Overture filament. There are a couple of future projects I’m going to use this filament for and I would absolutely purchase it again. It’s always nice to have other options other than BambuLab and Elegoo which are my usually go to brands.

great pla refill.
overture is one of the most respected filament brands on the market at this point and their name very well precedes them with a reputation for top quality materials that print very well. this pla refill is no different and fit one of my spare bambu spools perfectly with no issues at all transferring it over. the filament is neatly wound and has no visible overlaps or snags that may impact it's unspooling while printing. i ran it through one of my AMS units on my P1S, using a 0,4mm hardened steel nozzle on a biqu frostbite plate using an overture pla profile tweaked a little for my specific print models needs. the print came out beautifully as expected with no issues whatsoever. this is a great filament that i'd be happy to use anytime, i prefer the refill approach to cardboard spools for eco friendly options as they allow me to use it with a spool compatible with my filament changers without the need for additional steps. at £13 it's not quite cheap enough to become my bulk printing options but i have no qualms about using this for any job big or small and would trust it on an important print which i can't afford to fail.

prints well on stock settings, easy to install on reusable spools. Not much savings vs. spools
PROS -well wound, no tangling issues -intact vacuum seal with no moisture issues -prints well on stock PLA settings -easy to install onto reusable spools CONS -not significantly cheaper than buying a new spool MY STAR RATINGS: 1* substandard, mostly cons 2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros 3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros 4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons 5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

Standard PLA – too many cobwebs
Contrary to another review, this is not super sticky, and my first attempt at a shrimp came unstuck. The second used glue, and was more satisfactory, adhesion-wise. There were serious cobwebs at higher temperatures, but when I reduced the nozzle temperature to 200°C, one of the print-in-place bits was knocked away, presumably through stickiness, despite the nozzle temp supposedly going as low as 190°C. Another go at 210°C eliminated the artifacts, but the cobwebbing was worse. This was from a freshly opened pack, and cobwebbing is typical of PLA that has been exposed to the atmosphere. Some PLA (such as a gold one I have) can be affected by moisture even after a few hours, but this was with a MK4S, with a print time of 2 hours, so the only conclusion is that this is just an average PLA that will give you cobwebbing if you print anything with air gaps. If you stick to solid models without too many protrusions, this should be fine.

Great refill spool
Fits great on my bambu blanks, with the cardboard centre being notched so it sits neatly in place. The spool itself is tight and well wound with no tangles present at all. The plastic straps were really easy to remove once fitted to the roll as well with a not too heavy pull required to get them off the roll. The finishing end of the roll is not secured by tape like others meaning this printed easily right to the very end of the roll without issue and without jamming my AMS. Print quality was excellent and I was able to run this on a high speed setting without any issues. No stringing was present, no odd blobbing, no clogging, or anything of that nature. Seems very dry stright out of the bag too which is nice.. Excellent value to money.compared with other brands for refills.

A Frustrating Find: This Filament Gave Me a Real Headache
I had high expectations for this black Overture PLA filament refill, but I struggled to achieve a decent print. It's annoying that it costs the same as the one with a spool, but it had so many issues right away. I found it had a very difficult time printing at 200°C and repeatedly clogged my extruder, which I suspect is due to poor dimensional accuracy. I lost a lot of time and material trying to get it to work. I had to crank up the temperature to 220°C just to get acceptable print quality. I also noticed that the filament had a moisture issue, which is a sign of a poor product. While I did manage to get it to print at 250 mm/s by increasing the temperature, it's not a filament suitable for high-speed printers without a lot of tweaking. I've had amazing results using other Overture filaments in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. For that reason, it's very difficult to recommend it.

Good Filament
This is good filament. It runs through my printer well with no moisture defects noticeable. It is also a good price, but you will need to load it onto a spare spool but this is relatively easily done.

1kg refill filament in black
since i received my 3d printer ive always been concerned about the empty spools that go to waste so ive started ordering refillable spools and needed a black for some custom light boxes. so when I saw this product I thought id give it a go. it came vacuumed sealed and ready to fit onto a refillable spool very easy to fit and neatly wound with no snags so far with over half the spool used good appearance to the print, great adhesion to the plate and ran very smoothly at the advised print temperature print quality came out perfect and very pleased with this filament one I will be reordering more of in the future.
