It will work on any system that allows a modern phone to work including VOIP phone service! I use it with a magicjack and it works great and makes a cool conversation piece. The way it works is NOT with pulse dial service that the original old rotarty phones used instead you dial the rotary dial with your finger in the correctly numbered hole and as you turn the dial all the way to the end, there is a small metal catch that your finger must depress which creates the correct tone for dialing, it even has a "#" and a "*" that rotary phones never had. So they really can be used for making any type of call in a modern world yet have the authentic feel of the rotary phones from yesteryear's gone by.
