We were one of the first houses built in our community and, at the time, there were a rash of A/C unit thefts so, I had a cage built over ours. The cage was secured with two locks on either side. About 3 years back, I replaced the locks with Master Lock Magnum disc locks because they were supposed to be weather-proof. After the first year, these locks would not turn with a key. I tried every lubricant and spray and these things would not budge.About a month ago, I saw the Disk Buster on YouTube and figured I'd give it a shot. I finally got around to trying it today and I'm mad that I waited so long. I used a cordless drill with a 3/16" titanium bit. It glided through like butter and, in less that 5 minutes, both locks were off.It was definitely one of my better purchases.

It seems to be made for a specific brand of lock and would not sit square on my Master lock. I cut away the plastic weather shield from the lock but it still wouldn't clamp securely. I still made a few passes through the keyway but the lock wouldn't open. On to the angle grinder and the lock was off in 2 minutes. I cut up the middle of the lock from the bottom and split in half. Save your money and go with the angle grinder.

This product serves the purpose it is intend for. It was nice being able to get back into our mini storage.

Had to pop 2 locks that keys were lost for over 6 months. I dont think it took longer than 45 sec for both and the bit was still good.

Opened lock in about 25 seconds. Perfect for circle locks.

Didn't know this was an option! Saves me so much time and effort.

I own a mini storage facility and needed a good way to remove round locks for units that go to auction. I've only used it once but it worked perfectly. It concerns me a bit that this is available to the general public but what do you do?
