Great reimagining of the Black Suit/Venom Saga
Ultimate Spider-Man Volume 6: Venom collects #33-39 of Ultimate Spider-Man, which is written by Brian Michael Bendis (Daredevil) and illustrated by Mark Bagley (Mighty Avengers)This series is a tour de force of comics, every trade I buy of Ultimate Spider-Man is, in short, amazing (pun not intended..... ok maybe a little intended). The story here is that Peter, still recovering from his breakup with MJ, finds a tape of a family picnic from his childhood, from this he discovers he had a childhood friend named Eddie Brock, Eddies father worked with Peters father on a "suit" that theoretically would cure cancer..... that didn't quite work out, Peter decides to contact Eddie to organise a get together and talk about things, things like their fathers research with the suit, Peter soon discovers that Eddie has a beaker of the suit goo and it all goes from there. The story with Eddie, their fathers and the suit is engaging, fascinating and is a real treat to watch unfold in the pages of this trade, MJ is less prominent in this trade due to her and Peters breakup but the few panels she does get are really nice and emotional. Gwen has a sort of subplot in this trade, it's very very small but it's actually kind of nice. Eddie is a very interesting character, I won't get into spoilers here and I recommend staying away from all spoilers for this, but I'll just say, he's not quite as he seems. Peter goes through a LOT in this volume and I genuinely felt for the character once again, Bendis writes a really likeable Peter, just great stuff. The art by Mark Bagley is spectacular which isn't too surprising considering it's been spectacular for the previous 5 volumes of this series as well, the colouring is also great here once again.Overall I definitely recommend picking this volume up, it's a fantastic edition to this series, the characters are all well realised and feel well rounded, I'm very excited for the upcoming volumes (particularly Volume 9: The Ultimate Six) just to see how these characters progress and hopefully to see more of these great reimaginings of Spidey stories and villains.

Another great volume
Spider-man is probably my favorite superhero but I hadn't read any of the comics until I started the ultimate spider-man series. I've enjoyed all the previous volumes and this is no different. It is well written, it is emotional and the art is great as always. The only thing that annoys me is the reference to something that happens in the ultimate marvel team up series and it kinda seems like a ploy to get you to spend money on that. Also as some people have pointed out they have done a retcon of Eddie Brock as in volume 3 there was a reporter called Eddie Brock but we never got to see his face whereas the Eddie Brock in this is not a reporter and there is no reference to it being made.

Great
For a used comic, it's pretty good in quality, had to get rid of the stickiness from a old sticker with a damp paper towl, apart from that, great.
