Outdoorchef Chimney Starter

Despite looking very neat ad being delivered next day (the main reason, in fact, which lead me to try an unknown brand was the immediacy of availability) This was not up to scratch.The coals burned, boy did they burn. That part of the device cannot be faulted. The slight problem occurred, however, when lifting the bucket to tip the conflagration into the BBQ kettle. The (up 'til that point) sturdy handle came free from the fixings and laid fiery coals across my lawn and patio. A bit of quick thinking and speedy work with the tongs and some water and thankfully no carnage ensued beyond a lot of sweat, few small ember burns and a healthy dose of adrenaline and smoke. Once the chimney was cool, I inspected the fixings and must say they leave a lot to be desired. I was expecting some tough rivets, bolts or other rugged components, and there are instead some tiny pegs - I'm not entirely sure how they held on at all. Maybe this was a defective model, in which case I'm happy to change this review, but the box art and amazon images all show the same tiny pegs and I'd suggest trying another more rugged make unless you desperately need it next day, in which case make sure to do some work before lighting to ensure the handle stays attached to the chimney. It's pretty hair raising otherwise!I'm going to try a weber one I think and pop this chap in the bin. I'll probably keep the stand thingy though, as that is pretty good for keeping the floor clear.

beautiful product and also very good quality materials. Does what it says on the tin:My 1st barbecue before having this chimney starter was a disaster so I decided to buy this item. Second barbecue with my new outdoorchef was amazing. I throw the paper in lit...dump charcoal in...get glass of wine at around 10-15 min after that everything was ready to start. Supper product.

Ich fand "sowas" all die Jahre immer lächerlich, wenn diese Schönwettergriller damit rumspielten.Nun.Mh.Ich möchte ihn nicht mehr missen, ich geb's zu. Immer die passende Menge Holzkohle, in immer der gleichen schnellen Zeit, brätel fertig durchgeglüt (ja, genau, ich grille oder rostere nicht! Wir bräteln, und zwar alles!;) )Und ich brätle faktisch jedes Wochenende, auch im Winter.Einzig die innere Schale des Plastikgriffes hat sich durch Hitzestau gelöst. Was aber durchaus an mir selber liegen mag, da ich den Kamin bereits im Kamin anzünde und es somit eventuell für den Kamin zu heiß werden könnte. Habe ich durch einen Holzgriff ersetzt, perfekt. Brauch auch keinen Handschuh o.s.Zum dutchen find ich ihn persönlich zu groß, da habe ich mittlerweile einen Kleinen, passenderen. Aber ich verwende ihn auch hauptsächlich für richtige, echte, gute Holzkohle :)

Aggiorno, al secondo utilizzo la vernice e saltata ulteriormente, nulla che renda il prodotto inutilizzabile ma è sicuramente un fallimento a livello progettuale che pecca nell'estetica del prodotto.Il prodotto è molto buono, ben concepito e forse più funzionale del weber.Unica pecca riscontrata è che già dal primo utilizzo sulla base di appoggio su cui ho posizionato gli accenditori (diavolina) è saltata tutta la vernice al centro.Avrebbero dovuto evitare di verniciarlo visto che si presenta questo tipo di problema, ovviamente si tratta di un problema estetico non funzionale ma un articolo che perde da subito la vernice è di ricolo, meglio non verniciarlo per niente in quanto ora fare subito ruggine.Il prodotto in se lo consiglio, è molto funzionale e l'accensione del carbone avviene in 15 min a cestello pieno (con braccetti weber).

wirklich gut an dem Anzündkamin sind die seitlichen Löcher durch diese viel Luft einsogen wird welche die Kohle schnell aufheizen. Schlecht ist aber, dass die Griffe aus Plastik sind und sich bei hoher Hitze im Kamin unwiderruflich verformen.

das war jawohl ein Trümmer. bin sehr zufrieden über den anzünder insbesondere über die auflageschale die dabei war somit kann man das Produkt auch anständig ablegen.

Lo compré porqué ponía 26cm en la descripción del producto y parecía más grande que los demás encendedores, pero está mal. El diámetro del cilindro son 19cm, como la mayoría de encendedores. Funciona muy bien, y la calidad es buena (hasta el embalaje). El problema es que cuando vuelcas el carbón, no te llega para hacer una BBQ. O echas más carbón encima, o repites el proceso, con lo que te quedas a medias.El tamaño si es bueno para una BBQ de mesa, o como brasero auxiliar por si un día andas escaso de fuego (como las parrillas argentinas que hacen el fuego aparte.)

Die feuerfeste Beschichtung löste sich bereits nach der ersten Anwendung. Einen Tag später war bereits der erste Flugrost zu sehen.Kamin funktionierte super, auch den Standfuß fand ich gut, dadurch fällt nicht immer alles auf den Boden. Die Firma outdoorchef sollte lieber auf verzinken oder Edelstahl umstellen. Kamin ging wieder zurück.
