Detailed (ie long!) review - sorry!I bought this bed for my rescued male English Springer Spaniel aged 3, he’s around 20kg and quite an athletic build, leggy and tall. He was neutered aged 20 months so he’s quite big but not a chunky chap. I bought the bed in size XL based on the dimensions of his other bed and how he lies in that, and after consulting the size guide internal bed dimensions. Lots of pictures of him in the bed are posted with my review for size comparisons as I found it so helpful to look at similar sized dogs in different sleeping positions when choosing which size to get! I could have gone up a size to XXL for him to do the Springer Sprawl but he has plenty of room in the XL size bed and still managed to do it!First impressionsA little flat/squashed on arrival due to having been vacuum packed before it was removed from storage to be sent to me. This is stated on the label. The bed has been down half a day and the sides are stiffening up nicely as the air is allowed into the stuffing post storage.Outer is a nice water resistant fabric that looks like it would wipe down easily. Inner is a lovely fleecy material that’s soft and cosy. The stuffing is full and plush. It doesn’t feel like it will go lumpy and flat as it tends to in cheaper beds.The bed design is an outer with the nest style sides with a cushion to sit in the bottom of the bed. I love the high sides to keep him cosy and protected from any draughts.The bottom is a non slip type fabric, however I have a memory foam dog bed mattress from Costco that I place under his beds to give him extra support and make all his beds super cosy and comfy without worrying about the stuffing going flat on the bottom.The seams seem well made and no loose threads or stitching when I’ve examined it.My dog is not a chewer at all, so for me that’s not an issue for me but if your dog is a chewer, it probably won’t stand up to much as fleece material is easily chewed through (in general, not this bed specifically!).His other bed has sides/bolster cushions all the way around it and he keeps trying to place his head on the side of the bed as he does in that one but it doesn’t seem to be that comfortable for him as his neck is unsupported, so to help him be more comfortable I’ve rolled up a fluffy Sherpa blanket around one side of the bed to give him somewhere to rest his head with more neck support and he seems to be more comfortable with that.In terms of washing, I haven’t tried to see if the outer will fit in my washing machine. If not, it might have to go to the laundrette, it also states this on the label that larger sizes may not fit in standard washing machines.I have seen similar beds at local pet shops that are quite expensive for a similar size (£120+).Really pleased with the bed so far! It was a very reasonable price in my opinion for the size and quality. My dog spends a lot of time in his bed and it’s important to me for him to be snug, cosy and comfortable and at a reasonable cost to me. This bed is lovely and does all of those perfectly. He’s been asleep in it for a few hours now and seems to be enjoying finding the comfiest position in his new bed! I purchased this basket bed for my larger cat (approx 21 inches in length) and went for the medium size. The bed is very roomy and he liked it from the off. Sure enough the smaller cat (approx 15 inches in length) decided she liked the look of the bed so they have come to a mutual bed share agreement. The bed comes flat/ folded and was removed quality takes and retains the correct shape. The material is great and very easy to clean, completely washable and any small stains wipe off with ease. The inner cushioning pillow can be removed and cleaned in a washing machine and even tumble dried. The inner cushion is even with no lumps and our cats sit / lay with comfort. The bed is apparently climate controlled but getting feedback from our pets has not been possible so I can only judge from how frequently they occupy the bed.. Which is often and they both seem to enjoy a quick snooze in the bed. I feel that the price I paid for the bed was more than reasonable and presents good value. To be honest it's best to pay slightly more for such high standard and our animals deserve only the best.

very happy with this bed, the sides are all padded and very sturdy. It easy to keep clean and the green fabric is super soft fleece - unfortunately my idiot dog destroyed the base cushion on the first night and i was met by a sea of white fluff in the morning!! So my only negative is that i wish the green fabric was tougher, more like a canvas type and it would have lasted more than a night. My dog doesn't chew, just scratts with her paws to make her nest. The green fabric is so soft it just fell apart and i'm trying to work out if i can repair it. I would rather have a harder fabric because i always add nice blankets to them anyway. Overall a good sturdy and warm dog bed that's easy to clean and lets your dog either curl up in or just lounge across it as the sides are soft and will lie down under the dogs weight then bounce back up again,

My dog and I were just leaving the house for a morning frisbee session when the postman arrived two days earlier than scheduled with this bed. Impressive as it was ordered on Black Friday. I went back inside the house to unwrap it. Oscar was running in and out impatiently, dropping the frisbee at my feet and doing his 'lets go, lets go' dance! I wish I had a recording of what happened next.He bolted in with the frisbee in his mouth and seeing the bed for the first time, stopped in his tracks, stared at it, eyes wide. His jaw dropped slowly like he was overwhelmed and the frisbee fell to the ground. I melted. He was like when he was a pup! Cautious at first he started jumping in and out then curled up against the edge in a giddy fit. He has it a few days now, in which time it's taken on it's full shape, and he loves it. Of all the toys, beds and novelties he's had over the years this is stand out and it's as though there is a lab somewhere where very clever dogs design products for other dogs.Outside of the dog friendly design it is very well constructed and easy clean. The base and sides are very well padded. The sides are high enough to shield my large dog from draughts when he curls up. They are flexible enough to stretch outwards when he stretches out or sleeps on his back, and return to full shape. Whether curled up or stretched out the edge 'nests' him and he looks deeply content in it.Thank you to other purchasers who answered a question I posted here regarding how it would accommodate him if he stretched out and on whose recommendations I purchased. A special thank you to the seller who responded to my emails promptly and fully and for whom nothing seemed a bother. Five stars for the product plus an bonus star for the seller!

Fantastic luxury beds for dogs! Very well made and high walls on them. Removable cushion for machine wash. My dogs love them.

I have to give it a people review of 5 and a cat review of 3. Really a well made bed, nicely padded, high sides for privacy, seems very durable, good size for a sprawling largish cat, but my cats don't like it. If I had to buy again for someone else I would. It's a great bed. Maybe they just have too many beds to chose from. Go figure.
