However, I am glad that I bit the bullet with this. I love that the socks match perfectly. I love that I know exactly when to end the cuff, when to start the heel.Just a note, this yarn is very sticky; it just loves itself. As a consequence, there are times when there is unavoidable yarn barf (if you are using the center pull method) as the yarn catches on itself deep inside the skein, tightens up, and won't let go. Yarn barf doesn't bother me at all, nor do tangles. About midway through the second sock, the looseness of the skein at that point caused it to do this with a fair bit of regularity, so I decided to rewind the ball from the outside to eliminate the issue. There comes a time in most center-pull skeins when the skein becomes too loose and floppy and I decide to rewind for the remainder of the project; with this, it needed it a bit sooner than I would ordinarily have rewound, but it really wasn't any bother. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty Socks From One Ball Of Yarn! *by M***7 on Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2019* I love this yarn! It starts at the 1x1 ribbed "cuff" then the design begins on the leg, when the solid color ends, you knit 2 rounds, then start the heel. If you follow the directions on their YouTube video, the heel will use the amount of yarn correctly for the heel, but it you vary the amount of cast-on stitches or your favorite heel varies, you'll run out of heel yarn and the patterned yarn begins (however, who the heck is going to see it, that part of the heel is on the bottom of the foot?). Continue the foot part of the sock, and the toe is very long, but there is a lot of extra yarn for longer feet. The yarn design pattern only works for top-down socks. Arne & Carlos showed on YouTube what it looks like if you try to start with the top-up. I love this yarn so much, I bought MANY of the different colorways. I'm on the toe of my 3rd pair & will begin my 4th pair today, Christmas. My favorite heel is the afterthought heel, but I tried different heels on each skein/ball of their colorful yarn. You will have fun watching the color changes of all the different colorways, each pattern different. I use to dislike knitting socks, but Arne & Carlos' yarn design made me love knitting them & it goes surprisingly fast. Oh, one negative is that the yarn may be a little think for your regular shoes, but should be okay for athletic shoes or SAS shoes. I had to go up a half-size in regular shoes. KNIT ON as Elizabeth Zimmerman would say on her TV shows & videos. ### ⭐ NOT THE SAME AS PHOTO *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2019* While I am not knew to knitting socks I understood there was going to be a slight variation in the pattern due to different dye lots, production and manufacturing as well as the size needle and tension I would be knitting with. However the yarn I have is VASTLY different from the photo, the color runs are much long in some places and what I am getting is mostly a stiped pattern not at all what it is supposed to look like.
