this is a very nicely designed and manufactured set! the lid has a smooth round knob that's easy to grip securely the spoon has an appealing minimalist design but it might be too small for some uses -- however, it's ideal for chili oil!

I love this bowl for serving sambal oelek at the table. Sambal is a chili paste in vinegar, so I wanted glass for storage and swapped out the cute little stainless steel spoon for a cute ceramic one—vinegar can eat through a metal, over time. The bowl is sturdy and makes for a great presentation. I do not understand some of the reviews I read; it’s like some folks have expectations up to the moon. The lid handle is NOT going to break from normal use. The spoon is NOT going to rust with average care (I don’t recommend storing it in a vinegar based sauce, but great for serving chili oil). The jar is simple, attractive, and functional. Oh, the bowl and spoon are perfect for sugar, too.

I had broken the lid of my pretty glass sugar jar. So I was glad to find another lidded glass jar, though it’s more utilitarian-looking. I don’t use the spoon that came with it. The baby spoons from my now-grown children’s infancy are just the right size, and they’re not plastic.

beautiful sugar bowl. like some other reviews indicated it is small. smaller than i expected but it’s just a sugar bowl so it gets the job done. 10/10 would recommend.
