Whetstone #15000 Fine Polishing Grindstone Knife Sharpener Mirror Finish Water Stone Sharpening Stone (180x60x15 mm)

I love this stone. I love to sharpen my irons the old fashioned way. By sitting down and taking the time to sharpen them by hand. I’m no expert, yet but I have learned so much in such a little time by sharpening by hand. This stone is the very last stone I use to polish the very edge of my irons and chisels. Taking my time to ensure that the edge of the blade is as smooth as possible on both the front of the cutting edge and the back has given me excellent results in my woodwork. Not everyone will agree but we all have to find our way.

I have only used this stone a couple of times, but I think it produces a good result for the cost. I think you would have to spend quite a bit more money to get a significantly better result. It came with a few dings on the edge of the stone, but nothing that affected its function. Overall good value.

Used flattening stone to flattening surface and polished pocket knifes edge small portable stone works well at polishing a fine edge.

This whetstone is good! I have no problems with it. Not sure if it’s an oil stone or water stone seems how it doesn’t absorb water but it is nice and smooth. I recently purchased a 20,000 grit water stone that is absolutely no where near as fine as this stone. This stone puts a very nice mirror finish on an edge. Very similar to what a strop would. Very pleased with this product!! Wonderful product for the price!!

Buyers need to know that all waterstones need flattening often during the sharpening process. These stones are soft and need to be protected from gouging and dropping. I had a 1/4" piece of glass cut to match the size of the stone and epoxied it to the bottom of the waterstone. The glass cost $11 but will give much more life to the stone.

THERE wasn't anything I didn't like about this stone. Worked as advertised, I had no problems at all and you can shave after using this stone. Great for the price!

I ordered this stone- as advertised- and got a completely different stone. I got a funky USED, chipped, stained, sliced, piece of junk that’s SUPPOSED to be a 15000 grit finishing stone, but feels tougher than my 1000k stone. I was purchasing a REETEC as advertised. I was buying a NEW stone. Instead, I get this funky used up chopped up chunk of ceramic more coarse than a 1k? Nothing of what I received is what I ordered.

It leaves a nice shiny edge on my pocket knife. I just worried If I keep cutting this stone will it still sharpen effectively?

This is an amazing 15K whetstone. Mine came to me well packaged (several layers of bubble wrap) and without any damage. I have a 4K/10K Edgelogix combo stone and the 10K side puts a nice polish but not at the level of this whetstone. This stone just gives the surface a mirror finish. Cut's fast and is a hard stone. It says to soak it but I didn't find I needed to do that. I just ran it under water for a minute then used it as a splash and go. No noticeable dishing after polishing 3 knives so far. For the price and performance I would buy again. I have several whetstone bricks and this one surprised me for it's price.

I do sharpen a lot of knife and this stone bring a clean mirror finish. I've stopped ussing my 20000 grit stone because thise ine does a better job.

Leaves a very shiny surface but not 15000

I love this stone. Hones very well, feels solid. I've been looking for a stone in this grit range without having to pay over $100 got Shapton glass. It's like a strop that takes material off.

Great finishing water stone. Durable and easy to use. Polishes the edge to a keen finish. Very happy with this purchase.
