Tomato Saver by Gourmac

We've had one for several years now and it was great for keeping the onion fresh longer and it didn't stink up the refrigerator. Problem was it became increasingly harder and harder to open it. So I figured just buy a new one for six dollars and be done with it. When the new one came I tried it and it wasn't any easier to open than the old one. Then it hit me, why don't you put some vegetable oil around the little plastic pieces that stick out and makes it lock closed. Well it worked like a champ. I even put oil on the new one and that works better too.

Easy to use and store onions, also prevents the odor little bit. Not a big fan of the plastic stem on top. If you have a tight space in your fridge or try to put this on top of something between the fridge rack, it doesn't fit just because of the aesthetic of the stem being tall.

I have an older Tupperware onion keeper that works great and was hoping to find another like it but haven't been able to. I ordered this one based on reviews. It's completely different than what I'm used to but it seems to be working great at storing & keeping in the onion odors. It cleans well in the dishwasher. My only concern is that the plastic it's made from is rather thin and brittle. I'm hoping it holds up. Fingers crossed!

These things work great. The onion lasts a long time and there is no odor.

This solves the problem of what to do with the other half of a grapefruit if you only eat half a day. A large 1/2 grapefruit will fit in it easily. The top is nicely sealed and also not hard to remove. Also makes a great gift for someone starting out in the kitchen, or fir someone who already has everything.

I got the whole set (avocado, onion, bellppepper, tomato & mushroom) ... too cute! definitely larger than they look. I easily fit a large bellppepper inside ... bonus - veggies stay fresher longer☺️👍🏾

This is cute, but ultimately doesn't store much in the way of mushrooms. It barely holds a small punnet of mushrooms from the supermarket.
