Small, but amazing !
I love this flask palette ! Its such a charming design, and I adore compact palettes! It's not too heavy, but its weighted enough to show that it is well made with quality materials. With water added its about the same weight of my phone (with a case) and its a little over half the size in length. Take note that I have added 4 more half pans in the middle so it can fit 12 colors. The half pans were a separate purchase. The paints I put in are Holbein (and one Sennellier paynes grey ) Some things I disliked: I disliked the way the mixing area is at a slant. It can cause the colors to run into each other. I'll see if I can find a way to tighten it so it'll sit at a proper angle for painting (which would be flat for myself) so I'll see if that's something I can do myself. Also, theres only 2 wells to mix in. Its a small palette, so the mixing area will be just as small. I have heard that there was a similar palette made with 4 mixing wells, and I would REALLY love to see that ! Other than that, I really like this palette. I'm excited to own it and will be taking it everywhere I can !

Excellent, but emptying the flask can be tricky.
This is a great palette. It fits in my pocket, I'll be able to store the Whiskey Painter's brush inside once it arrives, and if I decided to I can add a couple more palettes. The capacity of the flask is HUGE. Somewhere around 30ml of water according to my measurements, which is incredible. Enamel is hydrophobic, but that's par for the course with metal enamels. Little hit with some 600 grit sandpaper and it fixed that issue lickity split. My only issue is with the flask portion. The throat is a bit narrow. It does a great job of preventing spills, but it makes it difficult to get the water you put in back out when you need it. I eventually figured out that I have to just slightly touch the mouth of the flask to break the surface tension on the water and let air back in so that it empties. Not anything annoying, but it did take some experimenting. Aside from that this is an amazing little palette. Having this palette will expand my abilities in painting, and hopefully help me get better since I can take it out on the go. I can't wait to get some paint in it and take it outside to start learning how to actually use it.

A great idea ruined by poor execution.
As with others here, I really wanted to love this pallete. The construction is super. It oozes quality... until you use it a bit. Unfortunately, there are 2 main design flaws. First, the water cup does not reliably affix to the main body of the pallete. It falls off / pops off very easily. Second, the mixing reservoirs lay at an angle to the main body when opened so that all the liquid runs down to the bottom. It’s impossible to keep mixed colors separated. Poor engineering really. I’ll be send mine back today... Edit: After trying different grips on the box, I found that I could keep the open mixing area flat based upon how I used the bottom ring. Said differently, I can now see how the design of the box could be used effectively, but you need to grip it just so or you’ll have trouble keeping the mixing wells flat. I think I’ll keep this after all. It’s such a great size. I’ll take the time to practice using this so that I can confidently take it for a spin.

True Portable Travel Palette
This is a beautiful portable watercolor flask palette. It is comparable in size to the Winsor Newton Heavyweight Enamelled (12 Half Pan and Water Container) and the Daler Rowney Artists Watercolor Sketch Box (Incorporating water bottle-12 quarter pan, plus a small brush). It is nice that it includes the prestigious Whiskey Painters logo on it. Within this palette you may chose any number of half pan to whole pan combinations for your own choice of colors. It is amazing opportunity and treasure to get this class of palette while it is available. Who knew Winsor and Newton and Daler Rowney would quit making any version of their Bijou boxes or that Daler Rowney would quit making their Watercolour Compact Artists Sketch Box that Alwyn Crashaw used a while back. This flask palette setup is portable anywhere and adds to the pure joy of painting. It holds approximately 30 ml of water. On an even nicer note, this vendor sent two additional plastic palette cups. .

About my new Whiskey Painters Flask Palette
I just received mine last week. I am very happy with it and it is well made. It is heavier than I supposed it would be but I think that is an evidence that it will last longer. I put in twelve half pans of Schminke and W&N artist grade colors. I'm looking forward to using it often. If I could change it, the main change would be to have more than two sections on the mixing lid. At least four but six would even be better. I have a similar W&N palette (sans the water reservoir container and clip-on water cup) which has four mixing sections on the lid and I miss that on this palette. One other design flaw: there is only a tiny protrusion behind the mixing tray on the box. It needs to be bigger to hold the tray level. I glued a small piece of magnet on it and now the tray is level when I open it up. All in all, I am delighted with this palette and hope to get many years of use out of it. It is so cute and compact. Add a travel brush, sketchbook, pencil and I'm good to go.

DISTRESSED to DELIGHTED
UPDATE: Amazon assisted me in contacting seller. Customer respectful seller made immediate apologetic response and sent quality aqua brush plus a goodie for my unconvinced . Greatly appreciated. My assessment of the Whiskey Painter’s palette: love it. Compact yet complete w/ basin and integrated water container. Has heft because of water container, water flows best with vigorous shake due to narrow opening. It’s a quality treat and much fun to use. W/o brush room for more half pans.. Would consider this for a gift and buy from this vendor again. “Free brush included ...” Did not receive the as advertised brush. Pouch is a draw string cloth. Please send brush!

Very compact
I am very pleased with this palette. It is sturdy, yet very portable. I was initially concerned that the water pan would fall off in transit, but no problems so far and it is tossed in my bag every day.
