K&N 69-8612 Washable and Reusable TFK Car High Performance Air Filter System, Red

I bought this hoping it would be an investment towards better gas mileage as well a giving my car's acceleration a boost. After the first few days I was so happy with the added power I decided more miles per gallon would be icing on the cake. My 2012 automatic Yaris went from 32.3 to 35.3. I waited a month to review this product. I'm sure I might get more, but having the acceleration and using it on the NJ highways is a wonderful thing., and I could not be happier! Two minor points, the metal cowling had to be ground down a bit as it was too high to close my hood without extra pressure, and the Customer service/Tech. people were not very helpful when I inquired whether I would pass the NJ emissions test. Their reply via email was to find it out myself. I kind of thought that might be their job. I believe it will pass, but kept the old assembly just in case. Well worth the money!

As they say, you get what you pay for. Yea, this is expensive but the part is well made, comes with easy instructions and is well thought out. One big bouns, if you are using this on a Yaris and plan on swapping your throttle body to a 1ZZFE throttle body from a Corolla, the diameter of this intake matches the 1ZZ throttle body, it is actually oversized slightly for the stock 1NZFE throttle body. I didn't notice any real power increase on the butt-dyno. The car does sounds good when you put your foot in it though.

So it was my first time installing this, and I already swapped out my throttle body on my yaris for the bigger corolla one, took a while because i didnt have the right tools at first. MAKE SURE U HAVE EVERYTHING U NEED TO INSTALL BEFORE HAND! Feels nice when accelerating constant pull from 0-60, sounds nice, performance wise, i do see a difference in the high end of rpms its constantly pulling, is it worth the money? if you really love the yaris, then yes do it. i would however recommend you modify ur headers/exhaust system/lightweight pulleys/throttle body, then put this on. Anyways... I love it. :')

I bought the one that supposedly fit my car (year, model... even in the instructions photos is the exact same engine...) but the mass air flow sensor is different in the tube... it doesn’t fit... it seems there are other versions of the sedan Toyota Yaris 2014 across the world... I cannot rate the product although I know K&N are quality products. I need assistance... changing the tube or using an adaptor so it can fit (if this even exists)... any help will be appreciated!

I daily road trip this car so wanted everything I can do to help increase MPG and for extra power going up mountain passes. Did it help with power? Not sure Did it help with MPG, some areas I traveled in the past I clocked around 44mpg, after this install same area same tires/wheels load capacity I did 46mpg. I'll continue to see in the long run. I went this route because of my travels with rain/snow I didn't want a inner fender well cold air intake so this was the best option at a decent price. Is it worth it? Meh you do you imo
