Rubie's Women's DC Heroes and Villains Collection Harley Quinn Costume

I never write online reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this product. The costume fit like a glove, and was delivered expeditiously two days before Halloween. I ordered the product on a Friday evening (after midnight) and received it early on Monday with my Prime account. The best part of this costume was the fit, fabric, and the incredibly affordable price for such a good product. The downside was the fit of the mask and the collar, both of which I could not use, also the suit is tight around the neck once one sits. For reference, I am 5'2" and weight 115lbs, and I ordered an extra small. I'll share pros and cons below. Pros: Fabric- makes the costume look expensive, and works well for cold weather. Price Fit Cons: Collar- Fabric was not very impressive. I bought a collar that came with two little pieces I put around my ankles at a local discount store for $2.00. Gloves-Fit a bit large, but warm and comfortable. Mask- Very tight, I could not see through it, had to buy one for the outfit. Suit-Tight around the neck once you sit. The head piece was a bit snug around the neck, but it may be due to the fact that I had tied up two braids in the back of my head to keep the hair from falling out of the costume. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and I would definitely recommend it after receiving so much positive feedback.

First off, all the other reviews are correct, this costume runs ridiculously small. I am 4' 11" about 105lbs and the Small just BARELY fit me. I might have done better with a Medium. The 1 step that I suggest to greatly improve the look of this costume is take the white collar and cut the goofy looking elastic out of the back of it, then sew it directly to the neck of the head piece. This will cover the gap between the head piece and the neck of the body suit and make it look a million times better. I added white pom-poms to the neck piece. I re-painted the red diamonds on the body suit with red fabric paint, before they were so dark you could barely see them. I cut the eye holes in the mask to be a little bigger. This made it much more comfortable. Also I found that the elastic on the mask was much too long and sewed it shorter. The gloves fit my fingers but they were not long enough to cover my wrists. You could attach the white wrist cuffs to the gloves to keep the skin on your wrists from showing but I didn't do this because I won't be wearing the gloves much anyway, just because they are impractical at parties. The boot covers seemed to work OK, they do slide around a little. You could add more elastic across the bottom of your foot to help keep them in place. I will not be using them because I have red and black high heels to wear. I am very happy with this costume for the price I paid. The only complaint is that when I received the costume it smelled AWFUL. It had a very strong odor and took not one but TWO trips through the washing machine to fix... my costume was purchased from 7th Avenue Store.

The sizing for this costume is off, im 5'2 120lbs and the xsmall was not only too tight, would not close but strangely felt short. I would of ordered regular small but it was sold out at the time and I do wear a size 4. I reluctantly returned the xsmall and ordered a medium hoping it would work. It fits ok bottom half not too tight but the top fits a little bit more loose than wanted. I would not recommend this for anyone above 5'2 i dont think it will fit you as it still barley fits me, if I lean over forward it almost chokes me and ride up my crotch lol ok for a night out but just be aware. Not enough stretching on the arms when trying to put arms up. Thats why I say made for someone shorter I guess. Pants fall right at ankle. The eye mask holes are too small but I knew that from other reviews and ordered a different one ahead of this one. Besides all that I love that its a full costume the velvet is nice and quality of material is decent thickness. The white collor comes very wrinkled though.

Okay. So i was very disappointed with this costume. DONT BUY THIS IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR HARLEY QUINN ACCURACY. 1) Even after following the provided size chart, the body suit was way too small. Harley Quinn is a known flexible character and i couldnt even bend down to tie my shoes because i was terrified of ripping my suit. 2) The suit itself is INACCURATE. If you look up Harley, You'll see that the red and black on the suit is switched up. 3) The collar is made of a flimsy, styrofoam like material thats terribly cut. 4)The gloves fit but were cut a little too short and didnt cover the top of my hand. 5) The boot slips are alright and im still planning on using them but ONLY AFTER SOME ALTERATIONS. The ends of the boot slips are frayed and the elf like tips that harley has dont stick up. I'll need to fix that. 6) The wrist cuffs weren't too bad but they just didnt look like i wanted them too. 7) The headpiece was a little too tight and the tops wouldnt stick out and it just looked awkward and small. 8) The mask has a weird cut and not harley quinn-ish at all. I dont recommended this costume at all and will be having one tailer made for me soon.
