I'm not an expert but I didn't want some cheap piece of crap made from melted down PBR cans. This is a very sturdy blade. No rattle at all. No loose fittings. The patterned Damascus is beautiful. The hamon is subtle and real. The wood is smoothe and beautiful. The brass fittings give it an aged look. If I could hand pick the details of this sword all over again, I wouldn't change a thing for the price I paid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by R***N on May 28, 2017* nice quality display sword. Could be sharper for use but good for display ### ⭐ Complete waste of money *by A***R on June 17, 2020* Soooo this "Display only" sword.....I paid about $300 USD for. Absolutely not worth the money. Very light and wimpy and flimsy. True worth I'd put it at about $50-$80 on a good day.Ok so I originally bought this sword in Hope's to get my brother a cool nice gift for his birthday. I'd almost be embarrassed to hand this sword to him. For one. The blade stops at the handle not all the way through. Second, the sword slides right out of the sheath with "almost" no effort. Third, there is play in between the blade and the handle. Slight wobble. I mean yeah it's just for "Display only" ,come to find out. I wouldn't even entertain the though of swinging it softly just to cut a dead banana in fear of it snapping at the handle just from stopping the end of the swing. You know because it's a sword and fooling around with swords is fun for at least one time right?...yeah not even gunna try. Could have gone to a flee market and spent $20 on something I could at least swing once or twice. Will be returning immediately.Side note, it did come with a somewhat sharpened blade to tempt you to swing it and break it. Cool bro not me. Not for almost $300!
