Got this for a kaweko sport fountain pen, which worked well. Turns out a nice shade of red, and looks very pretty. Lasts a while too, with six cartridges. They work perfectally with other Kaweko products.

Fine craftsmanship. Being brass it has weight to it and it warms up as you use it. Delivers ink flawlessly.

I got this pack for my Kaweco Brass Sport, mostly so i can have extra Kaweco cartridges that i can clean out and refill with my own bottled ink at a higher capacity than the Kaweco converter. (The Kaweco converter is very small in capacity and often better to just refill the stock cartridge instead). For that purpose these cartridges work great. I chose the Royal Blue because out of the Kaweco ink options it seemed to be the closest to my preference. Kaweco inks are by no means extraordinary in color or performance but they do have a nice consistent performance and behavior that i cannot discount. It flows with relative ease but is not a wet ink, it does not smear much (if at all) and dries very quickly. It is not waterproof and washes off hands with pretty good ease. The color is a nice purple-blue that looks really nice when writing, then dries in a kind of flat state. My biggest negative is the flat look of the dry ink on most papers, with that being said that does make it a really nice professional ink that doesn't have unnecessary frills. In summation, for an everyday ink that performs without concern give this ink a try. For an artist or for someone whose using their pen for more creative endeavors and vivid colors maybe look elsewhere.

Works as expected

I love writing with a real pen. This one and its cartridges work wonderfully. I think both are a good value and I love writing my thank you notes and greetings cards with them.

The ink is great and flows like a dream, don't get me wrong, but seriously. One wee little carton in a huge box? Just send it as a letter next time and don't make me pay that much extra for postage.
