Great noise-cancelling pedal
A noise pedal cuts the background hum, but of course it will also cut off a little sustain from your notes. This pedal does a great job. One can customise the threshold, which is the minimum volume for the signal to pass through. A medium setting works fine for me. At a low threshold a little hum is transmitted, while at a high threshold nothing goes through until you really play loud! Just what one would expect. The other control is the decay - with a high setting, the notes sustain but then a little hum creeps in towards the end. With a low setting the sustain is killed. I like a high setting for lead guitar solos and a low-ish setting for chords particularly when playing clean. One more great feature is that if you set the switch to "mute" then a press of the pedal will completely mute your guitar. Another press, and the pedal works in noise-cancelling mode. In the other position of the switch (called "reduction"), one press of the pedal gives you bypass mode and another puts you in noise-cancelling mode. So actually there is noise-reduction in both switch positions, but the pedal press works differently. This pedal also has the Send/Return feature, so you can put other pedals like overdrive into a loop with it rather than in series. In short, this is an excellent pedal at an excellent price.

Packing
The packaging gave me a mini heart attack. There was no layer to protect the pedal. After playing the thing the worry went away. Pedal performs great in its price value. The seller has to put more effort for packing the equipment safely.

Noise gate at a good price for Behringer lovers
If you have other pedals from Behringer, just go for it. I use it with my 5 Behringer pedals connected in series using loop-back mode of this pedal and use it with my amp which ultimately connects to my computer for recording. 99% noise is gone with my local Stranger band Cube 20 amplifier (1996 make). If you have a branded amp and do not use unnecessarily high distortion from both pedals as well as amp simultaneously, it should work fine. In case of hum or noise, turn down some distortion/fuzz/overdrive level from either amp or pedals and avoid patch cables and main guitar cable from coming in contact with any AC or DC power cables. Check the ground also, use 3 pin plug and please....connect ground to actual earthing! We Indians are very lazy about this fact but love getting 'shocks' once in a while. With Boss, Ibanez or other very loud pedals, this will not perform as good as expected. My guess is using a Behringer Ultra-G series DI box with ground protection switch would help in these situations of loudness! Good luck!

Took a decade to receive the product!
Delivery was the worst. Please avoid Aramex Logistics at any cost. Took me multiple escalations to get my product after a week's delay. At one point Amazon even mentioned that it's LOST! No complaint on the product though. Please avoid any delivery via Aramex.

Unbeatable Performance and Value
The Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer is a game-changer for guitarists seeking top-notch performance without breaking the bank. Here's why it deserves a solid 5 stars: 1. Impressive Performance: - The NR300 effectively tames unwanted noise caused by high-gain effects. Whether you're shredding or strumming, it keeps your signal clean and pristine. - Comparable to the renowned Boss NS-2 pedal, the NR300 delivers near-identical noise reduction capabilities. 2. Unbeatable Value: - At its affordable price point, the NR300 punches well above its weight. You won't find a better deal for noise reduction. - It's a must-have for budget-conscious guitarists who refuse to compromise on quality. 3. Sturdy Build (with a Twist): - Yes, it's true—the NR300 sports a plastic exterior. But hold on! After thorough testing, we've found it surprisingly robust. - Think about it: How hard are you really stomping on your gear? The NR300 can handle regular gigging and studio sessions without flinching. In summary, the Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer combines stellar performance, unbeatable value, and a durable build. Don't let the plastic fool you—this pedal means business!

It WORKS.
THE GOOD: -It works. It actually works. -Threshold AND decay knobs make dialing in just the right amount of silence easy. -KILLSWITCH. This Mute switch is awesome. Flip it, now it's a killswitch. Very handy. -Send & return effect. This is pretty cool, but does no good for me since in my rig, I already have send & return THE BAD: -This thing is CHEAP. It is made of plastic, and is very light, so I wouldn't go dropping it off the back of a truck or anything. -NO POWER SUPPLY. There is no power supply that comes with this pedal, and finding out where the 9V battery goes is annoying and took me and my buddies about 15 minutes to figure it out. There are two little buttons at the hinge of the actual button of the pedal, you need to push both of those in with paperclips, or an AUX cable will do nicely (Search on YouTube "Behringer battery replacement." You'll find it). Very annoying and frustrating, and does not make for a quick switch at a gig. I am currently using this for my vocal rig to replace an expensive rack-mount dbx compressor and gate that just doesn't work properly anymore, and seems to generate noise of its own. This does fantastically. it DRASTICALLY reduces the buzz in the speakers to a point where we can actually play and not hear it throughout our playing. We cranked up the threshold so we have to be right on top of the mic to be heard through the speakers which is what we want, then we turn the decay up high so we can crank the PA without getting feedback in the mics after singing a line. This thing works, and it works well. I plan on getting on for my bass rig to act as a Killswitch AND a noise gate. Best of both worlds! Without breaking the bank, Behringer has done it again, and made a quality piece of electronics, and though they could have gone with a metal housing, I can't complain. For $25, come on. You'll probably mount it on your pedalboard and never touch it enough to remember it's made of plastic and not metal. This one's a win.

Super
