My son reached the point about 6 months ago that catching a bullpen for him started to scare the bejesus out of me. I put it off and put it off, but after the 36th or so time of taking a missed ball to the gut, feet, knees, and knackers, I ordered this kit. I'm 6'4 315lbs. The adult size fits great. I'm a big/tall guy and I have the shoulder straps and waist straps on the chest protector at their shortest possible positions. So there's LOTS more room for even a way bigger guy than me to fit this gear. Which surprised me, because I was frankly expecting to max out the strap lengths. So all the other reviews are definitely correct about the chest protectors being bigger than expected. The mask has a nice fit. It looks silly relative to a more traditional mask, but that was not a deal breaker for me. The shins are also very nice, very comfortable, breathable, and easy to adjust. Like I said.... I'm 6'4 and the shins fit exactly as they should. The chest is everything it should be. Well padded, comfortable, great coverage, easily adjustable. Now I'll grant you, I've only been using this gear everyday for a little over a week now in both indoor and outdoor bullpens. But, so far, it's everything I need it to be for a very fair price. The stitching is all well done and the overall material quality is every bit as good as any other set of catchers gear I've had my hands on. And, other than the mask shaped like the green goblin's head, the whole kit looks pretty good, too. I got the black set and it's sharp looking for sure. That was just a bonus because, like I said, I'm over 40 and largely don't care how things look on me in the first place. Ultimately, I'm glad I caved and bought this kit. Catching for my kid doesn't scare the absolute crap out of me anymore.
