Krylon K02203 General Purpose, 12 Ounces BRILLIANT SPRAY PAINT METALLIC COPPER

I purchased two different golds, Gold Leaf and Gold. The best way to describe them is, the "Gold Leaf" looks like 18K gold, and the "Gold" looks like 14K gold. The "Gold Leaf" is a very nice gold. I would call it a true bright gold. The second that I purchased was "Gold" which is more of a pinkish bronzy gold which ended up working out better for my project. Both had very good coverage. What I thought was strange were the caps on each to identify the color. In my opinion, they should have been reversed. The cap on the "Gold" color looked more like the "Gold Leaf" color and vice versa. Hopefully the color description helps when choosing a gold color.

I got the brass spray, since I didn't want a bright yellow gold color. I'm spraying some tracks and brackets for track shelving since it doesn't come in the color I want. I've honestly never spray painted before, and my technique was completely wrong. The can/nozzle does sputter and gets clogged easily, but for me going slow and being within just a couple inches from the surface, I got better coverage and an even, smoother result. Not sure if you can tell from the photo, but the bracket on the right is with the aforementioned technique I used. Whereas the bracket on the left, I did short sweeping bursts from a further distance, which came out bumpy and very rough textured. It looks and feels cool, but not for this project. The color too, came out different for both techniques. These were primed. Anyhoo, looking forward to putting these up! The color itself came out a little more like antique brass, which is what I prefer. Not necessarily reflective, relatively metallic, and more muted. I like it.

The Krylon dark gray color looks great on my kitchen butcher block stand. It was an easy inexpensive way to freshen up and make it like new.

This product is great! I restored some antique dresser pulls for my baby’s nursery, and it turns out they were not solid brass, but brass plated. That meant that while they polished up a beautiful gold tone, some of them were polished too much, and began to show the silver base right through. I needed help making them all look gold, but I didn’t want them to look too perfect. To achieve the vintage look I used this gold metallic spray, held it maybe 3 inches from each pull, and sprayed very sparingly on the silvered parts until they matched the rest of the gold area. The spray gave a finish that looked like actual metal, and in spots where it went on too thick, I rubbed over it with a finger and the finish came out beautiful! This would also do the trick where you needed a thicker, solid gold coating as well. It’s very versatile, as long as you use it properly for your needs! Be aware though that it will dry rather shiny.

La couleur ne correspond pas exactement à celle sur le capuchon elle est bien plus foncée. S’applique facilement, coule un peu.
