Works With Parker Shaving Brush. - I was pleasantly surprised when this item arrived. It is sturdier than I expected. The base is quite wide, stable, and hard to knock over. I own a Parker brand silvertip badger shaving brush and it fit well in this holder. Not an exact fit but good enough. The item looks attractive too. I also was pleased that the box came with a replacement felt pad in case the one on the bottom wore out. That was a nice addition. Although I bought this mainly for the brush holder, the razor holder was nice too. It actually fit my Lord-brand Gilette-Atra-compatible cartridge razor just fine. Aesthetically, the stand matches most double-edged safety razors, but I don't use one of them so I was pleased to find it fit my razor as well. It probably will not fit some of the new-fangled many-blade cartridge razors, but I hate those (and recommend against using them, IMHO they are a waste of money) so that's not a downside as far as I'm concerned. Time will tell how this item will hold up. I am virtually certain it's going to be more stable than the acrylic plastic stands that have become the default that ships with most shaving brushes. Their bases are lightweight so they fall easily, but they're brittle so if you knock them off once, they break. This stand is not only more stable (less likely to get knocked off to begin with) but it's durable and I'm pretty sure it could survive a fall to a hard floor just fine. Why they don't ship with metal stands like this is beyond me. But this product does fill an important niche. Well built. Heavy. Not going to topple over when razor and brush placed on. Nor slip around the sink. Measure the size of your brush handle to make sure it's not too small. My new Vulfix (see other review) brush is just a bit small. Pliers on the brush holder pliers fixed that. Required a bit of extra pressure.
