Easily installed even for the people with limited experience in the car repairs. The struts worked well at a reasonable price point. I was immediately impressed with the packaging. I think opening the struts was the hardest part of the entire process. The struts lived up to my expectations. Save yourself a ton of money and do the repairs yourself.

I purchased the same brand for myliftgate and was very satisfied with the product. They don't come with instructions, but there are plenty of available installation instructions online. Basically, take something to support the hood, use a medium sized screwdriver to remove the C shaped retainer rings, and the strut simply pops off by pulling it off the ball and sockett attachment points. The installation is very quick and easy once you see how to do it. Some people recommend cleaning off the ball mount and applying some white lithium grease to it. If you don't have that, I would just leave the existing factory grease as is. It don't come with any grease. I hope this was helpful. Highly recommend product. The hood stays up in its fully opened position with no issues.

It fits and works well for Lexus 2011 Rx350 with power lift gate. I went through 3 different struts before this one. The first one snapped out of the socket, swung and hit me in the chin after about a week. Luckily it didn’t take out my eyeball. I still have the scar on my chin. The second one extended too far (about .4” longer than the OEM) so it bounced at the top. The 3rd one was too stiff, it was too hard to open manually. This one extends the same distance as the oem, easy to open manually. Only time will tell whether it will hold. I gave it 4 star because both ends of the struts are made of nylon/plastic whereas on the oem the bottom end was made out of metal.

Ordered these as the old stock ones were not completely lifting the gate in our 2012 Lexus RX350. Arrived in one day and installed in 5 minutes with a generic flat head screwdriver to help pry off the old retaining clips. Helpful to have a 2nd person hold the gate up manually while swapping out the old ones. Saved hundreds over dealer prices.

This is the best option for people looking for an OEM alternative. My 2010 rx350 boot works perfectly after installation and the price is very affordable

Durability is too early to say but no doubt very strong and easy installation initially. Lexus original part will cost you double. I love the dark tone on SS rods.
