Sunster 12V/24V Diesel Heater, 8 KW Diesel Air Heater, with Auto Start-Stop, Timer Function, Bluetooth APP & Remote Control, Car Heater with 10L Fuel Tank for Car Truck Garage Boat RV

I'm not a bot or paid to write this! I live in an American RV in SW England, its around 35 Foot, so a decent size inside. My original gas system became unsafe to use, I needed something like this system to keep us warm this winter. I opted for the Sunster as it has everything in the kit, plus the controller looked nice and simple to use. I opted to install it with my own 25L fuel tank and added a water seperater filter inline before the pump. Install was quick, around 2 hours (I had a lot of mounting space, so it was easier) and once I'd primed the diesel system, it started first go with no fuss! Its run pretty much every day since I bought it a month ago, starts every time, and easily produces enough heat to keep the whole van very comfortable! I bought extra piping and a Y splitter so the unit feeds two outlets, one front and one rear. Its proven economical too, using 25L of diesel in two weeks. Minor drawbacks - I am still trying to figure out how to get it to run thermostatically, it does randomly stop at the set temperature and re start at 2 deg below that, but mostly will run continuously. I seem unable to get it to start at a preset time with the alarm function too. The clock insists on gaining time also. It may be I am mis understanding how to set the above functions, the unit itself does exactly what you need it to, the remote works as does the app itself, I usually wake early and switch it on using my phone. The Pump, depending on where and what you mount it to can make a decent tick noise, I am deaf, so it bothers me not, my wife says its no more annoying than a ticking clock. My top tip for avoiding frustration on first start up wound be to prime the diesel system before attempting start up, get diesel all the way to the pump first. I use a squeezy primer bulb for that, or you can set the pump to pump mode via the controller. Overall, very impressed with the quality of the unit, some of the extra parts are a little cheap feeling, it does exactly what we needed it too, for a very very cheap price. So good I bought a second one! Update - Over a Year on and two winters of useage - No issues, faults or problems. I stripped the unit to see how it was inside, nothing wrong at all. Its been run continuously during winter often for 12 hours a day, it simply works! I do add a diesel treatment from Forte to help keep the combustion chamber clean, its worked, a tiny amount of soot present as expected, but nothing more. 10/10 to Sunster for producing this heater!

Great diesel heater kit. Everything you need is included , although i would advise buying the clear/white fuel line with rubber connections and clamps. I have had problems with the green line in the past, i never bother with it now. No stranger to diesel heaters, i purchased this on behalf of a friend, who has just moved into an offgrid 6m long caravan. He and his dog are nice and warm now :) If fitting to wooden floors, a good idea to purchase a turret mount, or cut away enough wood and insulation to prevent fire risk. A little "new" smell when first starting, but soon cleared. Love the controller included with this kit, as it has a fuel meter/counter, it's not 100% accurate, but is better than popping outside in this horrid weather to see how much diesel is left in the tank!

Very good piece of kit. Easy to set up and even easier to set up. I have mine set to come on when it hits 8 degrees and always comes on bang on.

The heaters does its job and the talking controller is nice too. I’ve had issues with the app, when I use the app the heater turns off after a few mins of start up. And if I use the app when the heater is on it makes the heater turn off.

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out regarding an issue I’m experiencing with a diesel heater I purchased from your company. The heater was working perfectly for the first couple of days after installation. However, it now consistently shows an E08 error code. I have thoroughly checked all possible causes and followed the troubleshooting steps provided: 1. Pump and Fuel Line: I have verified that the fuel pump is installed at the correct angle and that the fuel line is clear and not blocked. 2. Voltage: I have checked the voltage at the pump connector during startup and noticed that it is significantly lower than expected (about 8 volts instead of 12 volts). 3. Pump Power Setting: I have checked the default pump power setting and it appears to be correct. 4. Fuel Filter: I have also checked the fuel filter, and it is not clogged. Despite these checks, the heater still shows the E08 error and does not seem to be receiving adequate power at the pump. As the heater was functioning well initially, I suspect there might be an underlying issue that needs addressing. Absolutely first class heater it’s been amazing bit of kit

Love these little chinese diesel heaters. I decided to get a more naked style for my garage setup. And its been keeping my 25x25 insulated detached garage at 52f with ambient around 0-10f With it set to the manual setting of 1. The Bluetooth app in my opinion is spyware for your phone, it requires precise location data as well as the permissions to locate nearby devices and will not function without these permissions. Which I was bummed about that until I realized how worthless the app really is anyways. very very little functionality in the app. The remote works to start the heater from inside my house which is great and I just monitor with a remote thermostat reading in the house. The fuel tank came with a defect in the casting of it. has a big ol hole and I'm glad I saw it before installing it. I ended up just temporarily using a 5 Gallon can. Been working great the past 4 days.

I have watched these online and always wanted to try one. This heater has quite a few parts to install. It looks like I need to build it a little house to mount the heater onto and the working parts within. I think this is more for an RV than a car or truck. I got this for camping in my truck but I'm having second thoughts. It is very affordable but I'm going to check on the portable model.

I am actually using this as an area heater in my workshop which is doing great to take the chill off. I was looking for something in between electric heaters and the kerosene turbo (bullet) heaters as the electric didn't do enough and the turbo heaters were overkill in my space. This heater fit the bill nicely! I didn't bother with the app as i'm only operating this while I am present so the remote is sufficient.
