I'm impressed with this product coz it's easy to operate and as I turned it on, I can already smell fresh clean air. My neighbors smoke like a choo choo train, and the little machine helps clear the air somewhat. ### ⭐⭐ Emits strong cheap plastic odor *by M***Z on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2019* I received the package and the hepa filter did not have a plastic cover like it is supposed to so most likely I got a used unit. When I first turned it on, even though it was in a well ventilated area, it emitted strong cheap plastic smell. I contacted the company and was told to not worry about the hepa filter, just use it, and run the air purifier in a well ventilated area for a while. I did just that for a whole week and the unit still emits plastic odor which causes headaches. Instead of purifying the air, it pollutes it even more. I guess that is what the fragrance sponge is for, to mask the smell of cheap plastic. So disappointed.Edit: The company reached out to me and sent me a new purifier. The second one also emitted plastic smell but after about a month of use, the smell is gone now.
