Why is the OpenNote always unable to connect via Bluetooth?

Before pairing OpenNote, remove the film from the earbud pin connectors. Open phone Bluetooth settings. Open the charging case. Hold the back Multi-function Button for 3 seconds. The indicator flashes white, meaning pairing mode is on.

Can I customize the device notification volume or alerts?

Yes. You can adjust audio feedback settings within the viaim app under Earbuds Settings. Please ensure all usage of the device aligns with your local privacy laws and consent regulations. Navigate: Tap the earbud icon (top-left) > Earbuds Settings.

How much internal storage does the device have? Can it record without being connected to a phone?

Yes. In FlashRecord mode, each earbud can record independently via gesture controls—no phone or internet needed. Each earbud stores about 2 hours of call recordings or 1 hour of live/ambient audio.

Can the device be used offline? Is transcription performed on the device or in the cloud?

FlashRecord works offline and stores recordings in the earphones’ internal memory. After recording, connect to the app to listen back. Transcription requires internet/cloud processing; offline transcription isn’t supported.

Is it supported on Android? Is it automatic recording?

Yes, iOS and Android support call recording. Enable it in the app via My → Recording Settings → Auto-start Recording. After the call connects, open the app and recording will start automatically.
